Portal doesn't officially open until Monday but I saw a report that 1,200 have already announced they're portaling!

Until they can allow for multi year agreements i think that is the new reality. The benefits of which should mostly flow up to programs like IU.

Man, that would be something. Feel like Purdue will do whatever they can to secure the necessary funds.

I know Im supposed to hate purdue but Id kind of hate if he left for another school. NBA sure but kinda sucks for college basketball that Purdue was Smith's first and only power conference offer and he'd leave them as a senior after all the development there. Idk maybe unpopular opinion

Tyrell Ward, LSU 6'6" guard.  In 22 minutes per game averaged 9.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists.  Good three point shooter, was 52 of 126 (41%) for the year.

Another kid that had an IU offer.

Arizona State guard Joson Sanon plans to enter the transfer portal, sources told ESPN. Former top-25 recruit averaged 11.9 points in 2024-25, showed flashes of being one of the most explosive freshmen in the country. 15.9 PPG in opening month, 18.8 PPG in final five games.

Virginia guard Isaac McKneely is entering the transfer portal, source tells @On3sports. Will maintain the possibility of returning to Charlottesville. The 6-4 junior averaged 14.7 points per game this season and shot 42% from three. Represented by Drew Kelso of One Motive Sports.

Purely FWIW -

Miami’s Jalen Blackmon has entered the transfer portal. The 6’2” guard appeared in 20 games, averaging 6.9 PPG, 1.2 RPG, and 1.4 APG per game. Blackmon averaged 21.3 PPG, and shot 38% from 3 with Stetson in 2023-24.
