Ohio State’s d-line is orders of magnitude better than this Bama one and we made it work.

OMG. Barry Odom has apparently hired back Ryan Walters’ DC at Purdue, Kevin Kane, to be his DC. You remember, the guy who gave up 66 to IU? That guy. Not sure that hire closes the gap to Cig/Haines for little brother.

IU has a chance to end the non conference part of the schedule with a Q3 win. Enter the B1G final 18 games with a 10-3 record. With their 2 non conference losses in the Q1a territory. Their conference loss a Q2 road loss. As of now they will have 11 Q 1 opportunities and 2 Q2 along with 5 Q3 games. I expect some of those Q3 to be Q2 by the end of the year. IU still has everything in front of them heading into conference play. They will have a chance to be in that second tier of tourney teams fighting for an at-large bid. Not going to be the top of the league but are going to have a chance at being an at-large B1G team.

I hate to tell you our offense under RMK didn't look anything like the Woodson's offense. We never played through the post or posted guys up much at all. It was 5 guys moving and screaning to get the best open shot possible. The game back then was way more free flowing and more entertaining to watch.

I really don't like that the college game is just mirroring the NBA game where they rely way to much on shooting 3's. To me the use of advanced metrics is really hurting the game of basketball. To me it has taken the beauty out of the game and it is a 3 or a shot at the rim. It has taken half the court out and it makes it easier to guard. To me it is ridiculous to shoot 46 3's in a game and only shoot 16 from two point range. In the last week I watched the 81 final four games vs LSU and UNC plus the championship game from 76. Today's game doesn't even look lke the same game as those games. You saw ball movement plus player movement and didn't see anyone just standing on offense waiting for someone to kick ball out to you.

Gonna be a long season. Glad we're a football school now.

Clearly I'm biased but that was maybe the most entertaining 13-10 game I have ever watched. At no point did I think these offenses suck. Instead I kept saying these defenses are insanely good. This U and A&M game......nope not that.

I give that to Coach Womack’s adjustment at half time. He was a great DC for IU under Coach Allen. Both he and Coach DeBore were a large part of why we were good back then … I love our chances with this team and coaching staff.

That field goal was no good. The refs have by far a better view than the cameras. They stand directly under the goalpost and if it’s over their head or wide it is no good

Our Super Bowl is January 19th in Miami.

There is a current QB on the IU team that just won the Heisman Trophy who also "bailed" on his team. It's not 2004 anymore. Getting injured in a bowl game can literally cost some of these guys 3 million dollars. I dont really blame anybody in line for a huge payday for sitting out.

Kind of going to be a nothing game. We will win, but it wont mean very much. I think we are all ready to move on from these kind of games and see how we perform against the next 3 Big Ten matchups Washington, Maryland, Nebraska.

Please tell me that the recent hiccups our beloved btb was having today migrated into the Live Stat site. I decided an afternoon nap would be more enjoyable than following the second half. Per Live Stats, the final score was 78-58 which clearly means that site is totally unreliable and therefore I'm not posting any screen shots of the box scores. dws

If I were AD, so this is just what I would do, if CDD can’t make the field of 68 with $10M for players in addition to a huge staff budget, I wouldn’t give him a dime more until he proves he can use $ wisely and efficiently and get results. Until then, send the $ to football, they know how to use it.
