Devonte Green did an interview with the Assembly Call and when Jerod asked him who he thought would thrive in Woodson’s offense, he picked Hunter and Race. He specifically said that Race is a good shooter who can definitely make that outside shot as a stretch 4. Stuck out to me because a lot of people have questioned if Race fits with this new offense. Devonte also said that generally guys didn’t feel comfortable shooting under CAM because they’d get berated about it. Very interesting pair of interviews with him.

Indiana Women's Basketball - Congrats to our guy, associate head coach @RhetWierzba, who will participate in the @TopConnectLead! He's one of 13 coaches (men's or women's) and 13 college administrators selected nationwide for the prestigious leadership institute.

He may be a good guy, but he's lacking something if all these young men aren't satisfied with their bb experience with him.

Crean’s best player leaves today. This is the NINTH player Crean has lost to the portal this offseason. And none of them are coming back. And they are all players that were recruited to UGA by Tom Crean. Crean’s response? Throw the departing player under the bus: “Given the standards and expectations of Georgia Basketball, we wholeheartedly agree with K.D.’s desire to seek a new program,” Crean said. “We certainly wish him the best and really hope he finds success in all areas moving forward.” Tom Crean needs to give up on coaching and go back to announcing.

I just saw that Stephen Carr from USC has entered the portal. He was a former 5 star (ranked 20th in the nation). I believe that Indiana has a good shot with his connect with Mcullough.

Reading a bit about the young man: He’s an edge rusher with NFL measurables. Played some as a freshman and was reasonably likely to start for Auburn as a sophomore. New coaching staff at Auburn and recently went into the portal.

My favorite kid that Woody is in on, including Washington. Love him. His play at the :50 mark where he makes up 35 ft and inhales that kid’s layup is a hustle play that just doesn’t happen in AAU games. That being said, his AAU coach REALLY needs to take a breath with the Garnett and AD comps.

IU has had more than 50 people at countless events. It has nothing to do with the Monroe county restriction

Monroe County Health Dept said... it's 100% IU on why we can't have fans at games. There are more than 50 people now that attend the games, you can tell that by the "crowd." Family, friends, media, etc. So, either Monroe Co HD lied to me yesterday, or it's 100% on IU. I'm not sure why they would have restrictions on it at all. Monroe County isn't some hotspot for Covid. The lady I talked to, a supervisor at the HD (not sure the exact term)... told me she is very confused by the decision by IU to not allow 50% capacity.

Archie’s offensive sets sucked, that’s clear to most people. That said, it’s awfully rich to have Lander’s dad criticizing it publicly when you consider just how awful Lander performed. Bad offensive sets aren’t the cause of a player jacking up hopeless bricks and airballs, even while being poorly guarded.

Lander’s father Keith told The Daily Hoosier last month that a set oriented offense under Miller that involved the point guard dribbling at the top of the key while the play unfolded felt foreign to his son. It's of course way early to be talking NBA ... but yeah, this kid already has that combination of dribble-moves, outside pull-up and athleticism to go with being a two-way wing... I'm really looking forward to watching him play a real role in redefining IU ball.

I love seeing him take those first two jumpers on the move, coming around the screen. We didn't have anybody who could do that last season. Our perimeter players did not take 3-pointers unless there was nobody within 5 feet of them -- and we usually missed even those.

Wouldn’t it be nice to not immediately feel at a disadvantage when a Duke or UK gets involved with a prospect we are on, especially an out-of-state prospect.
