LamarCheeks Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Probably not on a whole lot of sports viewers' radars tonight, but ... South Alabama vs. Troy on ESPNU. Kane Wommack, our former DC, is South Alabama's head coach. They're 5-1 this year. Wondering if he's destined for bigger and better things. In 2019, our one "real" season of success under CTA (I'm now writing off 2020 -- COVID just made everything a little too weird) our OC was Kalen DoBoer and our DC was Wommack. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens with him if he continues doing well there. It's also worth noting their one loss was to UCLA, who is now #9 in the country, and South Alabama should have won that game. Rico 1 Quote

KingPG21 Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Thank you Louisville. Wake Forest was feasting on playing a horrible schedule again Oklahoma State with one of the worst performances by a top 10 team of all time Loaded Chicken Sandwich 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 People use Bama and Georiga as examples of ESPN's SEC bias. Programs like Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss are much better examples to me. They aren't bad. But if you listened to ESPN they'd be the best teams in other conferences. With the way college sports are now, every year there's going to be a coach who massively over-performs, gets massively overpaid, then sucks the following year. Two years ago it was us, last year it was MSU. Kansas was on track to be that team this year, but has scuffled as of late. Maybe they saw it coming after their 5-0 start and told their coach to dial it back a bit. lol Quote
