The “mental health disorder” stuff is pretty obviously just made up by his lawyers, imo, but betting that much on IUFB during that era would be pretty compelling evidence of a mental health disorder.

Texas A&M must have a virtually unlimited NIL budget for high school prospects. I just spent a few minutes at 247 and saw that A&M has commitments (who knows if they stick) from 9 (NINE) of the top 72 players in the nation. Doesn’t, of course, guarantee on-field success but landing 9/72 is crazy.

This is all over my feed as an otherworldly kick and I need help. What I see is a guy making contact at about his 34 and the kick landing between the 5 and 10. So, in a game it’s about a 50 yard punt. So basically a good D1 caliber punt. And it may have ungodly hang time but ya don’t know that because it’s in slow motion. Am I not seeing or calculating this correctly?

Not sure but never a good sign when you are flexing on your punting game in the offseason.

We often forget that these gifted athletes are also just people under the surface. I don't know anything about his particular situation but I do have a lot of experience with mentally ill people. Often in situations like his mental instability is at the heart of the problem. Throwing money at it only helps in the short term. It does nothing to help the underlying issues. Mental illness is a hard problem and we don't deal with hard problems very well in this country. I hope he gets the kind of help he needs.

Lol a judge gave Sorsby an injunction. I would’ve been infinitely more surprised by a judge in Lubbock County, Texas ruling against Sorsby, but if you can bet on your own team and remain eligible, what can’t you do?

If the NCAA can't say a player can't play because he was betting on his team which about every athletic organization from the NFL to MLB to the NBA says they can't do, what are they good for?  

"The ruling also said that Sorsby "demonstrated that he will suffer a probable, imminent, and irreparable injury if this Court does not issue this temporary injunction because he will be unable to participate as a member of Texas Tech University's 2026 Football season."  What in the world does this mean?  This judge had to be paid off or is an alumni of Texas Tech.

There’s just no end to the stupidity of this story and our “legal” system.  JMHO.
