Judge Phillip Hays, a Lubbock native with two Tech degrees, didn't give a reason. Replacement to be picked by administrative judge with degrees from A&M and Baylor, but not Tech. Not a moot point to me! Jude Hays recused himself because he has integrity to have made the personal determination that his ties to the university ethically disqualified him or would have tarnished any decision he might have made. Kudos to Judge Phillip Hays. Home Jersey, jermhoosierfan and Pagoda 3 Quote

But I'd likely have to nuke it, so I'll recuse and let someone else do the dirty deed." That's not soooo bad. jermhoosierfan 1 Quote

Heard a guy from Sportico on SiriusXM College this morning say he thinks Sorsby gets suspended for 6 games and is allowed to finish out the season. 1) That would be an insane ruling. Burn it all down if he's allowed to play another snap in college. 2) Tech's 7th game is against......Cincinnati. 3) Does Tech even want to deal with that? Probably, but...why? Quote

Insane ruling if that's what happens. But they are desperate, and it's perceived with their defense and Sorsby it is supposed to be their year. Likely hoping they can coast thru the first 6 games then return Sorsby and make a stronger statement to get into the playoffs as a high seed. Not sure I am convinced they will be much more than they were last year. Their offense was stagnant, and I guess Sorsby will improve that, but their coaching doesn't necessarily impress me (and didn't they lose someone key on their defensive staff?). Quote
