TheWatShot Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I'd love to see Auburn win today, but with Okeke injured, I don't think they have much of a shot. That would be extremely impressive to beat Kansas, UNC and UK in consecutive games. HoosierTrav, IUsafety and Hoosier Roots 3 Quote

It's too bad Okeke got injured, as Auburn has been probably the most impressive team in the whole tournament this far. Texas Tech a very close 2nd place though. Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Teams that have played in a Final Four since Purdue last made it: Virginia LSU North Carolina Indiana Georgetown Louisville Houston NC State Georgia Kentucky Villanova Memphis* St. John's Duke Kansas Syracuse UNLV Providence Oklahoma Arizona Michigan Seton Hall Illinois Arkansas Georgia Tech Cincinnati Florida UCLA Oklahoma State Massachusetts* Mississippi State Minnesota* Utah Stanford UConn Michigan State Ohio State Wisconsin Maryland Texas Marquette George Mason Butler West Virginia VCU Wichita State Gonzaga Oregon South Carolina Loyola-Chicago Texas Tech 51 programs, 48 if you remove Minnesota, Memphis and UMass, who had their only appearances vacated (our good buddy to the south just happened to coach two of them). Auburn would join the list if they win today. Quote

Auburn would join the list if they win today. That’s roughly 14 percent of teams eligible for the tourney. Considering the majority of teams eligible for the tourney have never won a tourney game. This is pretty sad Quote

mdn82 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 https://www.yahoo.com/sports/coach-k-calls-out-ncaa-for-lack-of-vision-for-college-basketball-004351154.html Really interesting article. There are some tidbits in there I never heard before. Like the men’s basketball tournament accounts for 90% of the NCAA’s revenue. Football doesn’t make the NCAA hardly any money. Those two things really surprised me. But Adam Silver being on Duke’s BOT really surprised me. I knew he went to Duke, but there is zero chance they don’t get best candidate possible with a voice like that on the board. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Kepner 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Well, at least I'll have a good reason to root for Virginia again next weekend. Quote
BGVille Hoosierfan Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Gotta like where Auburn is at only down 5. Got a lot of open shots but didn’t knock them down like they usually do...expect those to start falling 2nd half. I like Auburn to pull this out.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierHoops1 and hsrtxp 2 Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Auburn up one with ~12 to go. I'd feel better about their chances if the refs weren't determined to foul out their starters. Quote
KingPG21 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Lol the refs in this game. UK able to hold constantly on the perimeter, but Auburn already has 8 fouls called on them. Gotta get UK into the Final Four at all costs mamasa 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Watch how the games are being officiated and you’ll get the winners. No idea how an offensive player can put his arm over a defender and then get the foul call when he puts his arm up. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
