Since PUke claims the 1932 Helms basketball championship, which by the way was awarded retroactively 11 years after the actual season (1943), how about: Helms basketball championship Purdue (1) 1932 Indiana (3) 1953, 1976, 1981 The last year Helms champions were selected was 1982. Purdue has a banner for their 11 year post-dated 1932 Helms award, which was selected by one individual as this award was for every year. Indiana and their three Helms championships....meh.
