Cool note about Illinois:

fewest points scored in 23-4 season:  against uconn in the elite eight

fewest points scored in 24-25:  regular season game against uconn

fewest points scored in 25-26:  against uconn in the final four

I would honestly be disappointed with him if he ever took the Bulls job. Jerry Reinsdorf isn't someone I would want to have to rely on.

Charles Lee has done very well in his 2nd year with the Hornets so I doubt that opens up right away. But I agree, Dusty seems to have NBA aspirations, and I could see him as a very successful coach pro coach.

Dusty May is scheduled to have interview at IU tomorrow before the national championship game on Monday.  According to IU Human Relations they found the interview files from April 2024.  Finally.  But the competition will be tough and he is not expected to get the job. Darn it.  I thought he would be a good hire for IU basketball.

I think they were just biding their time and trying to avoid injuries before the real tournament started, as #1 seeds sometimes do in the conference tourneys. 

 

But it made Purdue fans feel like they were a legit contender for a couple weeks, adopting the acronym "PGWTWDT" (Purdue's gonna win the whole damn thing) and that was kind of cute.

I said this after last weekend. But it pisses me off even more now.

UConn has a shooting guard who should be shooting at IU. 

Michigan has a coach who should be coaching at IU.
