I'm already thinking about a guy from my neck of the woods, Benny Patterson. He never received an offer from IUFB but now that he's got a full year under his belt and sporadic playing time who knows if that'll change. He'd be closer to his family. I would think he's got a pretty sweet NIL deal already so who knows. I spoke about him here and I don't think he ended up visiting that game. lillurk, Stuhoo, HinnyHoosier and 2 others 4 1 Quote

Not at Andrew's school - he plays for the passing game disaster that is Michigan! Andrew just finished a very, very good freshman year, and Nick is only a sophomore. Nick Marsh, Andrew Marsh, Becker, and Bond/Chandler would be an amazing WR room. And that's if Coop goes pro - he has another year of eligibility left. Tyler Morris could also be there. I’d heard some good things preseason. Pagoda and Stuhoo 2 Quote
BtownStrength Posted December 11 Posted December 11 By my count we have offered 5 of the 4* guys in Michigan's 2026 class. One of which is TE Matt Ludwig who was just granted release from his NLI. Stuhoo, Pagoda, Napleshoosier and 3 others 5 1 Quote

Just clarified that he was just saying IU was a team to watch and that he wasn't ready to predict anything. J34 1 Quote
Home Jersey Posted December 12 Posted December 12 I am sure plenty will disagree but I would like to see Alberto win the starting job next year and suspect he will. For depth purposes I think we add a QB but I'd rather not overspend on a big name when I'm sure there will be competent / experienced / serviceable guys who would accept a chance to compete knowing they may be QB2 at the start of the year. Prefer to spend that money on some big nasties in the trenches. thebigweave, southsidehoosier, Hardwood83 and 2 others 5 Quote

There are two certainties for me: Cig, Shanny, and Whitmer see Alberto every day and already know if he is going to be their featured heir apparent. If they do not want Alberto to be their guy? They will have a **** ton of portal QB's dying to be the guy at IU. Pagoda, thebigweave, Home Jersey and 10 others 13 Quote

And a really interesting hypothetical...they could absolutely adore Alberto and also have a guy that you just can't ignore blowing up their DMs. Think Leavitt, or a Leavitt-level guy. Not our job to figure it out, but it's fascinating to think about. go iu bb, thebigweave and Home Jersey 3 Quote

Staff will know what's best but if I'm him and I just watched what they did with my brother I'm good with getting 2 years of running the show. Home Jersey 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted December 12 Posted December 12 IU already knows that this guy is really good, and he is now in the portal. Similar skill set to Alberto. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/5125715/colton-joseph Quote

That seems to be something they look for. thebigweave and Stuhoo 2 Quote

Dante Moore • Oregon 72.5 4. Dylan Raiola • Nebraska 72.4 5. Haynes King • Georgia Tech 71.7 6. Fernando Mendoza • Indiana 71.5 7. Brad Jackson • Texas State 71.3 8. Diego Pavia • Vanderbilt 71.2 9. Gunner Stockton • Georgia 70.7 10. Drew Mestemaker • North Texas 70.2 11. Demond Williams Jr. • Washington 70.0 12. Brendon Lewis • Memphis 69.7 13. CJ Bailey • North Carolina State 69.6 14. E.J. Warner • Fresno State 69.4 15. Joe Fagnano • Connecticut 69.0 16. Joey Labas • Central Michigan 68.9 17. Luke Altmyer • Illinois 68.1 18. Bishop Davenport • South Alabama 68.0 19. Darian Mensah • Duke 67.9 20. Owen McCown • UTSA 67.8 So who is available from this list: Raiola? CJ Bailey? Quote

Lebowski Posted December 12 Author Posted December 12 I have zero clue on what positions the staff is going to target but I'd like to see IUFB pursue some more depth at the thin spots. With that said, where do you think are the thin spots? Also, for me at least, it's really hard to keep up on this stuff when there's so much going on with the current team. Quote
