Today IUBB broke Marquette.

I actually find the pressing from Shaka disrespectful. He didn’t think we were a quality opponent. He had to tuck tail and call it off with 5min to go down 20+ when most coaches would be pressing.  Wear that hundo-spot, clown.

Guys — we have a good ball club run by a good coach. 
Trying not to get too high on this game, but very, very encouraging. The early worries about how the “ mid major all stars” as someone dubbed them should have been seriously tempered today.

Balanced O, spread floor, open lanes, weak-side exploited, running, scoring team that limits TO’s including when pressed, transition D, man to man and zone D, players who take pride in D, players who compliment each other across the floor, experienced, winning players, a coach and staff who know how to use them and develop cohesion and chemistry quickly.

Over the past four seasons, we had 12 games with double digit 3s made (and zero games with more than 12 made). We hit 14 today and 10 on Wednesday. They won’t fall every game like they have today, but you can stay on the court with anyone when you can shoot it that well.

We had like 26 assists on idk how many made shots, a lot less turnovers than them, and held our own on the boards. Plus overcame absurd foul trouble. Amazing what having shooters can do

This was a nice way to round out sports weekend. After Hoosier football and the Colts giving me two heart attacks, I don't think I'd have survived a hoops nail biter.

Remember a huge win over Marquette a few years back. 

A couple months later, the entire season went off the rails. 

I have confidence D-Rock won't let that happen again.

Winning by 23 on the road against Marquette was not on my Bingo card.   We were only outrebounded 39-34.  We shot 50% from the field; 50% on 3s; 20-24 FTs.    We had 27 assists on 33 made FGs.  This team knows how to keep the ball moving and find the open man.  What a great weekend to be a Hoosier.

Forgot to mention we had only 8 TOs and Marquette had 15.
