Brass Cannon Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 I’ll miss the first half driving to a family get together sadly. Quote

Hoosier Roots Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Feel like the next three games are shaping up to be a decent challenge. We have a home game against a UCLA team that is turning around their season and feeling themselves, then an away game against a competent Maryland team, then an away game at one of the toughest places to play in CFB against a PSU team that has absolutely nothing to lose and will be fired up to play a top 5 team. That being said I have no doubt cig and the team will be up for it but this will be a good litmus test for how well we can just focus and take care of business. jefftheref Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 JUST WIN BABY! Although I think we will win, I am much more concerned about Maryland. For some reason that game is scaring the crap out of me. Hoosier Roots and skhoosier2 2 Quote
Artie86 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 .... UCLA will come in here with a chip on their shoulder for getting completely embarrasssed at home by IU last year. They obviously have continued to gain confidence each week, especially if Nico is healthy and stays healthy. Just limit his mobility, keep him under presssure and take care of business. Quote

How many folks on that team are still with the team now? Not the same QB. Head coach and assistant coaches have been shuffled. Rivalries and revenge games are meaning less and less in sports. Quote
Popular Post Hovadipo Posted October 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 20, 2025 Here's a nugget for the group. When Foster was fired, UCLA brought in a guy named Noel Mazzone as an offensive analyst. Mazzone is a long time assistant coach at all levels and a highly respected offensive mind that is also described as one of Jerry Neuheisel's mentors. If you listen to UCLA folks, they give Mazzone a TON of credit for this stretch of wins and the complete turnaround of their offense, while babyface (and suuuuper personable) Neuheisel gets all the media for it. Guess who was the NC State offensive coordinator in 2003 when Curt Cignetti was the QB coach and also likes to (rightfully) take credit for Philip Rivers' march to the NFL? Noel Mazzone. mamasa, Rico, Dave from Dayton and 8 others 7 4 Quote

Magnanimous Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 4 passing TDs by Mendoza plus at least one more rushing TD for us to 10 (UCLA, who will be jet lagged, hungover, and bloated/GERD-like from eating Buffalouie’s 10 hours before kickoff). Dave from Dayton and thebigweave 1 1 Quote

Golfman25 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 Saw Cig's press conference today. He's no nonsense about this game. Views it as playing the "new" undefeated UCLA. Don't think there will be a letdown. Demo, MemphisHoosier, Dave from Dayton and 2 others 5 Quote

Understand that the Bruins are playing better now. Also know that they have given up 30 + points in 4 of their games. Regardless of the coaching changes, I don’t see them being able to keep up with us. We have played much better defenses who haven’t been able to stop us. Quote

Over the last three conference games these are UCLA's numbers that Coach Cig talked about in his presser. Rushing for 233 yards a game. AVG TOP: 36:30 minutes Starting fast much like 2024 IUFB. Outscored opponents in the 1st half 58-17 Completely ignore their win loss record, up to the Northwestern loss. They are a different team and 3-0 in the conference since then. Let's hope the 3 game sample size is large enough on film for our beloved Hoosiers to shut down their offense. Everything is new with this team.
