Starting the game thread early because we have bad news to start the week off.  Safety Bryson Bonds is out for the season with a knee injury.  We now more than ever need Louis Moore to prevail over the NCAA.

The Owls lost their season opener to Wake Forest 10-9.

I think we're favored by 36. Maybe it's just me...but when we play teams with such a large spread...I like to cover. That's the baseline. I'm happy with a win...but I want to cover this week.  That's one of the metrics I used last year. I knew we were a great team when we covered the majority of our games.

Bonds being done for the year sucks out loud. He’s average safety depth, but is really good on special teams and has been for years.

Blaming the opening TD on ODU’s guard blocking the DT on outside zone read is peak Cig. I laughed out loud. 

He holds people accountable in his own way, and that way is certainly not throwing guys under the bus in the media. I respect the hell out of it.

IU football is on a rocket trajectory (coach Hepp after beating a top 20 Iowa team) since T.Allen leading the team post game singing the school fight song after defeating Akron Zips in 4 overtimes at IU 29 to be 27….But they got her done.

Man, Kennesaw State had a very rough first year on the FBS level and losing that way to Wake Forest is not good for locker room morale.  Hopefully it'll look a lot better for us this Saturday.  And yes, this belongs in the prediction thread.  No, I won't delete it.

It’s too bad that this exact same Kennesaw State team isn’t in the SEC. They would be ranked in the 15-18 range and we could get a quality win.

Didn't catch all the details but an Indy TV station this morning had something about American Airlines offering some kind of deal for IUFB vs Oregon in Eugene.  Anyone thinking of going might look into just what the deal is.

Need to absolutely piss pound Kennesaw State Saturday, even if it means pulling out tricks you aren't wanting to show in order to convert in the red zone. Predictive ratings took a bit of a bath after week 1.

For any locals considering a last minute decision to attend the game……Stubhub has a bunch of tickets in the $17-$20 range (including fees). Some really good deals such as sections 27-28 for $19-$20.
