The PGs for next year are among the best at getting  the ball to guys in a position to score, both are top 20 in assist percentage.

Conerway’s assist % is pretty damned remarkable given that Troy was one of the absolute worst shooting teams in CBB. They were sub 30% from 3. So he wasn’t getting easy ball reversal assists. Surround that guy with shooters and…..

I love what coach has done with the roster so far. C0mplimentery pieces and a real team with real shooters. But we have to get some size to deal with the bigs from Purdue and Michigan State and Illinois and Michigan. The guy I wanted Duke Brennan is off the board to Villanova. Hope Coach Devries has something up his sleeve or maybe Kenny Johnson can get us Mustapha Thiam.

Agreed.  Let’s see what happens.  I think KJ will pull something off to get a “startable” athletic, defensive 5.

Might be able to get a visit but I’d imagine his expectations for minutes might be tough.  He’ll get 28 mins a night somewhere.

I wonder about the big thing. We’re seeing an athletic, quick, rebounding big guard -wing offense put together with top 20 assist guys. Yes it’s the B1G but do we actually need a traditional rum protector? Not so sure. Really interested to see where DeVries goes with the remaining picks - starting 5 are already on the team

One thing that I’ve noticed and that has me kind of excited is that it seems like almost everyone we’ve brought in is a good to very good passer. 
 

It will be fun to see how our offense flows next season if Devries can bring it all together.

Have to have rim protection, Bailey isn't that. And I wouldn't say IU is overly athletic either. Miles is probably the only guy I would consider a plus athlete. I think we're highly skilled in multiple departments, but you need a level of size and athleticism to make a run in the tournament.

I’m thinking we will start Bailey at the 5, but it’s hard to say. I don’t think it’s necessary that we need a starting bouncy center, but we will see. It does seem Bailey gives some flexibility, but would it be worth the risk to play Devries at the 3 and Bailey at the 4 against athletic teams? 
 

One thing I am looking forward to is Coach knows how to coach both sides of the ball, so regardless I’m excited for this team!

He's a guy I want the Pacers to draft, but it'd be a nice compensation to get him in Bloomington for a year. Huge potential.
