Chad Wesley Smith is a fantastic strength training science guy, and this interview was incredible. I am excited to see what Coach Horn can do with our guys!

I need to dive into his channel. I watch a ton of Dane Miller's stuff on Garage Strength and have really gotten into sports science. I wish I had these resources online when I played like kids do now. (I probably did, but it was probably all text based lol)

I think these are big time decisions that affect years not just next season for DeVries and he is taking his time to fill the rest out.   He is willing to hold out if that’s what it takes.  Ostrum wasn’t hired until months after DeVries got the job at West Virginia.  Ostrum took another job before he ultimately decided to follow him to West Virginia from Drake

Great point and ultimately agree just thought in this boring times could be good discussion and well Chris should be getting us the info from KJ anyways

Through random circumstance last week I spoke with two people who have interacted quite a bit with Darian.  They aren't really IU fans, but their jobs cause them to cross paths quite a bit with IU.  They couldn't have been more positive and they were highly impressed with him.  Very good stuff.

The more I hear the more confidence I get in what he's doing, including on things like the staff.

A funny little story I heard related to this:  I guess this meeting was down in Tuscaloosa.  Apparently Nate Oats caught wind of it and tried to catch CDD at the airport lol.  But, he was too late and just missed him.  

Nate was lucky, I think CDD would kick his butt if it came down to it.

I don't know.  My guess is Oats just runs hot.  I don't think any of this is a big deal, just an amusing little story.

If Bargen is slated to be a “front-office” guy like Sturtz, that would leave 2 more “bench coach” spots open for guys who can recruit off-campus, etc. if 1spot goes to Justin Bailey (Sam Houston assistant coach) then 1 unfilled spot would be left, perhaps for someone like Mike Ekanem of Oklahoma State.

Didn’t he throw out a first pitch one time?   Don’t recall other than that or at least what I remember.  I don’t attend baseball games to know for sure.
