No AD at Maryland right now must have been a big draw.  He can probably help hand pick the new one.  Maybe he'll finally get along with one

I wonder if the most annoyed guy with the whole Willard thing isn’t Will Wade. Sort of think Maryland might have been willing to at least strongly consider making that move and that’s a miles better job than NC State.

Interesting to see if Scott did the right thing by passing on Buzz.

Not envious. Just curious.

I think so.  His ceiling appears to be the sweet 16, and he's only made it once in the last 12 years.  He's a solid coach, I just think he is what he is at this point. He will win a decent number of games and maybe make the 2nd weekend every once in a while. (Which is obviously much better than IU has done recently).  But I think the ceiling is higher with DeVries. Just my opinion though.

He 100% did. My wife and I watched plenty of Buzz at Marquette, as she is an alumn. I started calling them Mar-quit bc they would always falter at the end.

With a league-average bench, where do you stop, from the bottom up, thinking "they could win that conference" on the Torvik conference rankings? They get pretty far into the teens I'd imagine right?

Them in the Ivy is a fun thought experiment. Basically every night they’d have a talent advantage 1-4 or 5, but the top of the ivy is older guys that have been together a few years with good coaching.

It’s been a pretty good carousel this year. Living up to the hype.

When we hired Archie 2017. OSU takes Holtman. Illinois takes Underwood.

I’ll grade Archie at a D to D-

Holtman gets a B- to C+

Underwood gets an A-.

This cycle :

DeVries

Medved

Buzz

McCollum

Let’s hope we figured something out. I’m a bit worried though. I’ve still got some Archie vibes going on.

Sounds like Chris Beard is gonna go to A&M

That’s actually probably a good spot for him. Ultimately nobody cares about basketball there, he’s tucked away in college station, but they have the money to let him build.
