FYI for any other curious STHers. Replies to the thread also said that the CFP sets ticket prices and other schools have had later deadlines than next week, which is odd.

Coach Cignetti is/was never insecure. Google him. He did what he needed to do to breathe some life into this program. DD is an entertainer. Defending the previous staff was always going to be a losing proposition. Allen, although I liked him as a person, was never going to be able to elevate IU football. We have seen what someone with a vision and a plan can do. Coach Cignetti, college football coach of the year.

Coach Cig wasn't going to take the job without commitment from the top.  So it's fair to say a coach like CTA might have been productive had he had the proper backing. If I'm being honest with myself, any IUFB coach might have been productive for that matter. From what I understand, and I could be wrong, this is the first time IU is investing in football from the top.  Regardless, I get your point and and I don't think CTA would have ever had this type of success as IU's football coach. I'm just soaking all this in and enjoying every single second of it.

Allen definitely didn't have the support that Cig has, but he also didn't handle the success of 2019 and 2020 well at all, on multiple fronts and that's what cost him the job. I think the commitment was coming from IU for whoever was in charge because it appears that a light bulb finally went off that a successful football program is worth its weight in gold. Not sure how it took so long to figure out, but I'm sure glad they did.

Don't hire foreign, soccer loving presidents.

....didn't know where to put this, but would Coach Cignetti/Sunseri be interested in FSU decommited QB - Tramell Jones?

Looks like he's UF bound.

Hey, you gamblin’ folk around here: isn’t home field usually a field goal? If that’s the deal is this suggesting that IU-Penn St on a neutral field would be a pick’em game?

Sagarin has Penn State is a 4pt favorite on a neutral field FWIW.

Sagarin has OSU by 12.
