One name I've heard that will be in the portal who might get an IU look is the quarterback from Western Kentucky Caden Veltkamp. He has little better numbers than what Rourke had last season.

Not much interest out there for him. Might have too high a price tag. I see him slipping again, but I don’t think he has the size to play in the big ten as a freshman

Is it expected Tayven will be the starting QB next year?  I'm not worried about Coach Cig's capability of bringing in high level QB recruits or other big QB transfers going forward.

I think it is expected that he will have a chance to compete for the starting QB position.

Agree.

He will have a chance to compete and I wouldn’t be surprised if one of his competitors is a yet to be determined QB  conference MVP from.a non-power 4 school.

I tend to think a Rourke like transfer could be just as likely.  Obviously I don’t see practice so hopefully the young kids are developing there.

If no transfer is brought in, I assume it's a competition between Jackson, Cherry, and Mendoza.  It shouldn't be forgotten that Cherry was the 18th rated QB in the class of 24.

Lewis is a Georgia native so it wouldn’t be surprising if he ends up there,

At this point I don’t give a sh!te if he goes to GA, CO, USC, Walmart or Costco. Just pick a place.

Good friend is a diehard UGA fan and said that he read from one of their insiders that Kirby asked Lewis what it would take to get it done and then gave a “no thanks” after hearing the demands. Day one starter, money, etc. All stuff that would make sense for him to get at Colorado assuming Prime doesn’t leave.
