But John Rothstein isnt any smarter than anybody else. I can respect that he actually likes the sport he covers, a lot of people just pretend to. But he's still an idiot most of the time. Pryght Posted Friday at 10:43 PM Posted Friday at 10:43 PM (edited) Next year, if a lot of our players hit the portal, it’s worth keeping this in mind: the average team this season returned players who accounted for just 31% of the minutes played. In other words, nearly 70% of played minutes had to be replaced due to graduation or transfers. Edited Friday at 10:49 PM by Pryght Hardwood83, HoosierHoopster and Alford Bailey 3 Quote
Golfman25 Posted Friday at 11:21 PM Posted Friday at 11:21 PM I’d be looking for specialists at this point. Guys that can to one thing great. The lock down defender, the 3 point sharpshooter, and the rim protector. BGleas and mike vannice 2 Quote
Pryght Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM Posted yesterday at 12:02 AM I felt a bit masochistic today and decided to listen to Dakich. I was actually encouraged to hear that he spoke with Ryan Carr at a Pacers game, and that Carr reportedly “really likes” the freshmen coming in. So, kudos to DD and staff for not screwing the pooch, it has Carr's seal of approval. J34 and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

Absurdly talented but really young, he may have just turned 18. and not ready to really help much. But a 10 min type of niche role would make a ton of sense for everyone concerned. 18 months of physical/skill development and he could be pretty blinding as a sophomore. Who knows maybe they can sell him on development- going up against Yigitoglu and Sherrell every day in practice and playing in the Big Ten. Then be the focal point of the offense in 2027. This is where Ryan Carr earns his paycheck-maybe he knows Keita's agents and can sell them on his NBA connections. Will be extremely tough going up against those other 5 schools but worth the wait and effort. But hey there's always Yaak Yaak as the fall back option lol. ronzo4IU 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago I'm guilty of this myself by overreacting to "been in contact" tweets. Doesn't always automatically mean that we initiated the contact. Agents can contact us and then honestly say there was contact with IU and it makes their client look more appealing. A freshman 6'7" 225lb guard that averaged 10 and 6 in 22 minutes being looked at to fill a back half of the bench role seems odd? Stuhoo, HinnyHoosier and AZ Hoosier 3 Quote
