There is no way I believe that.

Taking nothing from them as I believe they are good players, but best in the country?

I mean is it that much of a stretch though? 24/7 has them as the 13 and 17th best players available. 5 and 7 at the guard position. And they would be in the same backcourt.

I have a question. I know that there was an issue with Edey not being able to benefit from NIL, because he's Canadian. How is Ballo able to receive NIL? Isn't he from Mali?

There are work arounds. Edey still got paid and so will Ballo.

That seems very possible. I'd prefer a more consistent 3p shooter instead of Carlyle, but seems a fate acompli he's coming and will start.....

Carlyle was apparently 40% in catch and shoot situations last season, that bodes well alongside Rice.

Pretty outrageous that Mike Woodson has this gigantic NIL war chest yet our 27-28 roster is that empty.

.

.

(Sarcastic for those readers it may not be obvious to :)

Need 1 more player before Woodson can go back to that platoon substitution style he loves. Even though he learns every year that it doesn't work, I expect we'll see it again next year.

The top 7 includes:

6 players who averaged double figure points last year

2 first team all-conference players

2 conference freshmen of the year

1 all-conference honorable mention

2 McDonald's All-Americans

Experience, talent, production. We see you Woody, prove it to us.

Fully agree! No excuses outside of major injuries.

Agree. Will see what the rest of the B1G/country does with their rosters but at minimum this is a top 20 team.

The talent is there for a Sweet 16 showing IMO. Experienced players and talent, no excuse not to get a Sweet 16.

Then only if there aren't open scholarships.

I'm in the boat of leaving scholarships open. You're not going to play all your kids, having that scholarship open allows more flexibility each portal season.

How did UK pay their foreign players? As I listened to a Michigan podcast over the last week they discussed how Golden from FAU would get NIL since he is from Russia. There are schools that have figured it out. And as this podcast host said, it’s better to not talk about it. lol. Safe to say IU figured it out with Ballo.
