Assists/game:

Enright, DePaul 6.2.

DeVries, West Virginia 2.8.

Bailey, Davidson 3.8.

Known interest:

Pack 4.3

Wilkerson 2.1

Players interested in but didn't get:

Dix 2.8

Conwell 2.5

It does look like DD is putting an emphasis on ball movement.

If you wanna score as quickly as coach has said you need a guard that is willing to get rid of the ball if he sees an opening

Bailey was high usage but also had a really good assist rate…higher than everyone on IU besides Gallo.
I was reading he got a lot of those assists driving from the top against slower bigs…good to have shooters on the court at all times.

Are we still going to go doom and gloom in this thread about how much a failure the DRock era is?

I think we should burn his house down.....once he buys it.

To your point, have been some pretty solid developments in the last few days for sure. I was (am) bummed about Conwell, really wanted him last year too. But as someone around here says all the time "it's about who you get, not who you don't." If you squint you can see a solid team coming together.

I don't care if IU recruits a troup of mimes, as long as they win.

One more thing on Bailey: I'd love to see what he can do on a talented team. Saw he was first team All-A10. Davidson finished 12th this year. That's like someone on Minnesota or Northwestern making first team All B1G this year.

He was also MIP in their league.

He also put on 10lbs from SO to JR year and 20lbs since his FR year.

Regarding Reed Bailey, hopefully he’s an outlier: https://x.com/indianahq/status/1908955745376141622?s=46&t=AnGlZsb2hQqJCetbi3nDTg

We need a rim-protecting 5. Big time. I trust in DDv to teach team defense better than we’ve had in years…his team last year graded well

If we think in terms of Kentucky, who was in contact with Bailey, we can probably expect an Andrew Carr type of impact. He wasn't much on the defensive end either. Unfortunately there isn't an Amari Williams currently in the portal. Traore is from Xavier though. Alot left to shake out. There are plenty of Kenbard Davis and Wilkerson types of combo guards out there.

Bailey is vastly more similar to Basile to how they play the game at this point in their careers. Otieno played 1 P5 teams all year.. St. Louis...

Bailey played 3 and had good games against 2. Bailey's usage is 14% higher than Otieno.
