Sounds like were battling Texas and Louisville for him. Hopefully the hometown team finally wins one

Every transfer by Conwell has been prompted by a coaching change. Brian Gregory was fired from South Florida, Schertz left ISU for St. Louis, and Sean Miller obviously is now leaving Xavier for Texas. Definitely not the college basketball we grew up with but that's the current state of the sport.

Yes, I get that plus each of his moves have been a step up in the food chain. From a “career” (lets not kid ourselves by thinking of them as student- athletes)standpoint his progression has been impressive.

I accept that it’s just the way it is these days and am not yelling “get off my lawn”.

I would like to be in an either-or battle with Louisville on Isaac McNeely and Ryan Conwell. It appears they're in on each one of them, probably similar money.

Man I hope we get Conwell because I'm already daydreaming about the offensive firepower of him, Mullins, and DeVries.

Mullins seems like a 5-10% chance of happening though.

I wonder how IU would negotiate the amount of his NIL deal with his dad being the head coach. Not that it's an obstacle to his coming here, but might it make it a little more complicated to wrap up his deal quickly? Who negotiates and approves the NIL deals? With Tucker, it ought to involve someone other than his father.

I was thinking about that earlier this week..with his talent, he'd probably make bag regardless of where he'd go; so it may not be a big deal??

The market is wild.   Truly is.  Hope we get him but the amount of money for a short season of ball is astronomical.

Keep in mind the rev share is basically a 66% to 100% increase for player payroll this season. So a lot of the numbers quoted are going to be about double what players got last year.
