Alford Bailey Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Glad they are missing but I still don’t want Sean Miller in Lexington. Quote

Stuhoo Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 The delusional on their boards are now saying it's time to make Oats, Hurley, or Donovan an offer they can't refuse. Of note: they can and likely will refuse any offer. IU - Kaulie, Napleshoosier and IH8PU 2 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 This is comical. Guessing this fella might be some sort of mouthpiece for UK athletics. Says Drew was never offered the job, but was asked to consider it. He then slept on it and declined interest. Semantics -- nice way for UK to try to save face ... https://x.com/KeithFarmer18/status/1778440547159425526 Alford Bailey 1 Quote
Ryno6284 Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 With big money being everywhere, I don’t think it is as easy to poach big dog coaches anymore! We are screwed unless we can find the next RMK out there. Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Given our own depressing coaching reality, it’s hard to feel too much joy over another school’s struggles to find a coach, but it is nice seeing the same thing happen to UK. Though it does make our inevitable coaching search seem like an uphill climb if even UK is struggling to land someone. Should’ve just went with Dusty. IUCrazy2, IH8PU, KYHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

AKHoosier Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Rupp Rafters is gold right now. Some are relieved, since now the AD can refocus efforts on Hurley and Donovan. They could potentially get Pearl. I could see him wanting to chase a title there. UK needs a personality, never saw the fit with Drew. Quote

Not gonna get the press conference they wanted, for sure, but I’m just convinced Miller would be a great fit. Better than Drew. I saw Donovan for the 1st time in an age the last time the Pacers played the Bulls and that dude looks used up. He needs a break. He sure as hell doesn’t need UK. Home Jersey and Hovadipo 2 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Granted, I'm old and lazy these days. But if I were Donovan, unless the Bulls fired me -- I'd stay put. And if they did send me packing, and I didn't get another NBA job -- I'd just ride off into the sunset. He obviously has millions, and he's been out of college ball for almost 10 years. Coming back to recruiting would tough enough but now there's NIL and the portal that he'd have to learn. No friggin' thanks! Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
