True, but that's what 5-15 in conference last year and 4-10 this year will get you. Also, while he made the tourney until last year, he hasn't eclipsed 21 total wins since his first year at OSU. I also suspect that the decision-makers got a sense that the team was not buying in to him anymore.

More importantly...Welcome to the board!!

Lost to a 15 seed as well

It's funny that at one time we all argued about who got the best coach with Archie at IU, UL with Chris Mack, or OSU with Holtman. None of them have those jobs anymore.

Archie was a bad fit.  Louisville was a trash fire and Dino Gaudio threw gas on Mack and then pushed him in.  Holtmann seemed to lack consistency because he had a lot of players moving in and out the last three years.  Reaching for the brass ring doesn't always work out for mid major coaches.  Which is why I think Sean Miller may be content to stay at Xavier this time.

I have nothing of substance to add so I'm just going to take this opportunity to say Tapatalk sucks more than CMW's offense. Carry on.

Holtmann won 25 games his 1st year and 20 or more his first five. He fell off basically the last two years. Was archie a bad fit or just not cut out for the big leagues. I mean he is stinking it up at Rhode island also

We've talked a lot about how the rest of the season for IU could affect things...what about for FAU? Put differently, if Dusty gets them back to another E8 or F4, does that cement his status as the next Brad Stevens in the minds of many, would that force IU's hand?

Short answer is yes. IU would have to feel the pressure for sure.

Holtman Woodson comparisons should factor in age.  Not apples to apples.  One was meant to be a bridge option the other wasn’t.

I guess Dolsen will need to get a pulse on the program and it’s momentum.  But I think we all know the answer to that.

Does anyone have faith Woodson can outcoach anyone not named Kenny Payne, who also had us on the ropes.

I just caught up from page 62 to 96….  I don’t know why I read all those pages. I think every NCAA tourney win May gets the harder it will be for Scott to resist no making the movie. The boosters and fans will get louder and louder. A 2nd weekend/elite 8 finish would be interesting.

That was always the biggest load of malarkey.  People believed it. I had debates with several on the topic. Unreal

You and me both brother.  As they were telling us we were just being "negative"

Now we know to to believe and who not to
