Of course they're playing hard tonight.

Too little too late and next year apparently unlikely to return Gallo, Reneau, or Mgbako. No Ware. It sucks that even watching IU play well right now is a bittersweet reminder of how bad of shape we are in. I just can't be optimistic when we're going to build an entire new roster in the portal. Nice to see them play hard though I suppose

The truth is the Big Ten isn’t very good in men’s basketball. And yet, Indiana still isn’t a good team in a mediocre conference. 
 

The conference will still be meh next year with the new PAC 12 teams joining. None of those programs are playing inspiring basketball.

We aren't getting anyone in the portal. Woody has had some success in the portal the past couple seasons but it's going to come to an end after this season. These players will see what an outdated system we run. Plus half our team is going to leave. Why do this ? It's hard enough for someone new to come in and fix this. And they expect the guy who created this needs to fix it? These people are beyond stupid. It's all about feelings and friendships. Nothing sound or logical in their thinking.

I agree that most of our portal options will dry up. But we still have a big NIL budget. We will get players looking for a quick payday. I'm not optimistic on that working out for consistent wins.

Could see that. I think there are $4 million reasons why IU will hold their own in the portal

Does anyone actually think that when the supposed mass exodus happens at the end of the season when X, Walker and Ward and most likely Mgtako and then possibly Malik, Trey, CJ and Banks all leave, would this decision be reconsidered?

But when that 4 million has to be stretched over 5-7 players potentially, we might not be able to offer as much as other schools
