For instance, I would imagine that if things broke in certain ways Luke Murray from UConn could be an option, as I'd imagine Wes Miller or even Schertz could be an option. I have a difficult time believing we'd ever look at an assistant, but if we can get this guy roaming the stands at SSAH, I'm all for it!!! The Woody years have pretty much made us irrelevant, but this would get us some attention. LOL. 8bucks 1

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 13, 2025 Popular Post Posted January 13, 2025 There is a scenario that I don't think has been mentioned. Certainly speculative, but isn't totally out of the realm of possibility. That scenario is that all parties have already agreed on Woody's exit and how it will be handled. Could explain why Woody and the staff have appeared even more lackadaisical than before. This is a Recruiting Period which means "Authorized athletics department staff may make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations". That visit to LaLu doesn't count because Sisley has already verballed to IU. Walsh had been very active in IN, OH and KY. Haven't heard a peep about him having any contacts with potential recruits or Ya or Rosemond. At 12/31/23, we had extended offers to 35 kids for the '25 class. At 12/31/24, we had extended offers to 15 kids for the '26 class and only 3 were extended after 9/1/24. Our most recent offers have been '25 attempts to give Trent Sisley some company in the '25 class. Again, purely speculative but food for thought. Chris007, Jeff Flabjohns, Pagoda and 6 others 9

Hoosierfan2017 Posted January 13, 2025 Posted January 13, 2025 We should dedicate 100% of NIL toward Coach Cig. I agree that Woody seems more lackadaisical than before, and it’s aside from just the losses. I’m curious to know that if this is indeed the way things are working out, it’ll mean no matter how bad we fall of the tracks the rest of the way, we can expect to see Woodson finish out the season. Is there actually the possibility of him being done before the season ends if the losses get bad enough? I know some have mentioned he could be gone after an Illinois loss, but if there’s been some sort of exit strategy in place where he gets some money to “retire” at the end of the year, then I don’t see it happening…..but if he could indeed be done after an Illinois loss, then let’s lose by 30 just to make sure, haha.
