White was a big blow...yet we still got into the tournament. For anyone that doesn't remember. White/Killingsworth >>> Ballo/Reneau, and it's not even close.

As long as he's protected by Buckner...he may be going nowhere despite people howling for his job. Woodson and Buckner probably don't care what people  want or think. 

For instance, all of AH could boo Woodson and he probably wouldn’t be phased lol.

I was under the impression this is not the case any more and that Buckner will no longer be on the board. I also think Buckner and others can only protect coaches for so long without results. So although this might have been the case at one point, I no longer believe this narrative whatsoever.

I'm not watching this year.  No point in investing time and emotional energy into something with a high chance of failure.  I'm fine if IU loses every game if it means Woodson is gone.  Here's to hoping someone other than QB and the other asshat BOTs (maybe, you know Dolson the AD?) gets the final say on the next hire.

I feel like the boosters giving Woodson this money was a last-ditch effort by Buckner to give him a chance. Woodson has lost more games each season he's been here than Buckner lost in his entire career as a player. There's no way Buckner can think the results we've seen lately are acceptable. 

 

Of course, if he does, then my theory about him wanting to kill off the fanbase might be accurate.

I see alot of doom and gloomers in here. I am not as convinced as some that Woodson was brought back this year all because of Buckner. I believe they may have been as dumb as we think. I feel they didn't want to fire another coach already and look like they don't know what they are doing lol. I believe they felt Woodson could do good enough to get the fans back on board if they bought enough talent. I mean they did go pretty much all in on that. I feel it worked for the off season as I think with the ranking and the hype the fans were on board. Unfortunately the season started and we fell flat so far. I believe it is that simple. If this continues he will be fired because fan support is gone and the administration looks as terrible as ever. I believe they were dumb enough to attempt this and it hasn't worked. That's my belief

That's what I am doing. If we make it to the tourney we lose in the first round and Moro? Mike will be back next year. I dislike everything about him as a coach and head of the Indiana program. If I want to watch a real team and coach that understands how to play as a team and has excellent fundamentals,  then I will watch Purdue. Woodson is pure garbage as the anointed leader of this program.

It is Dec 16th.  They have played 2 big ten games.

In my humble opinion, you are dead wrong here.

Woodson got a fourth year because Archie got four years. Buckner made that abundantly clear. The moneybags bankrolling the NIL was simply to prop Woodson up and make him fail-proof. But Woodson cannot get out of his own way.

Buckner et al know exactly what they are doing — shaking down the university.

And I, for one, didn't buy into the hype of this season. The talent is one thing, but to paraphrase RMK about Dale Brown... when I see who's sitting on the bench doing the coaching, I have no doubt how it would turn out... this season has turned out to be the crap fest many here thought it would be... ZERO quality wins...

We have not built a resume to get in yet.  And would need to dramatically improve our play to have any chance of going .500 in conference.  Let alone well enough to make the tourney

Yeah, you are talking finishing around 11-7 in the BIG (12-8) to have a chance IMO.  That would put them at like 21-10 and you would think a few decent wins.  Anything less than that and they are going to be facing a real uphill battle.

I forgot about that.  Not everyone qualifies for the Big Ten Tournament.  I suppose Woodson will consider squeaking into the BTT as him "doing his job".
