He's used to managing multi-year contracts complete with options, clauses, and bonuses in a world where you can barter the players attached to the numbers as human capital. I don't think NIL scares him.

I absolutely don't like him as a coach or a person, but I gain no pleasure by him being fired early.  As long as he is assuredly gone, let him suffer the slings and arrows from the fans to finish the season in Assembly Hall, if that is his choice 

Seriously, I want the man gone right now.  If he finishes the season, to me, means the Admin is giving up on the season.

I didn’t get to this board until after 9 pm tonight. You guys have no idea what it feels like to read through 85 pages of posts while listening on repeat the only appropriate song to listen to when someone gets canned - the second half of “Layla.”

Yeah Stevens is one of the…idk, ~10 best living and working coaches if he returns to the sidelines? Not just in college, at any level. And he’s 48.

Feel like top 10 is even somewhat conservative, and many of the ten if you listed them aren’t in college.

In my view it just points to the continued lack of cohesive leadership at the top for this program. We’ve been floundering for 20+ years. We let Woodson get an undeserved 4th year because he has powerful friends. Everyone with a brain saw this year playing out like it has. We’re letting him finish out the season when it’s clear everyone wants him gone. A fresh face for the rest of the year would relight the fire under everyone. Nobody wants to see Woodson on the sidelines. We’ve been an unserious program and we continue to show why we’re an unserious program. Depending on the hire we could be great but those still in power behind closed doors still have their hand in the cookie jar.
