Beard is out because he is too toxic per some on this board. So the choices are stevens or woodsoon for a 5th year? Do we know if stevens ever had a speeding ticket? That would disqualify him.

Brad probably received a few bucks in tips from that job at Applebees that he didn’t report on his 1040.  Likely an automatic disqualifier for our administration.

I'm out on the mid-season firing, though warranted. From a PR perspective & out of respect for Woodson, he needs to be forced to announce retirement before Sunday. As awful as he's been he's still a Hoosier great who does not deserve what's coming for him Sunday. The only way to avoid it or tamper the crowd is through announced retirement. Do the right thing IU

What an absurd post, even for you.

Woodson won't get year 5 no matter how much you'd love that.

I'm not even going to bother addressing the rest of the absurdity.

It's not. I'm not interjecting myself into any more Stevens circle jerk talk. When Woodson is let go and this board wants to get serious about realistic candidates I'll gladly partake.

Beard is a more proven coach but with a past that makes him nearly unhirable. Will Wade did what every other successful coach has done (except he got caught) and since he was at a non-basketball school like LSU, they made an example out of him. Wade is 10 years younger, very advanced in working the portal, and is an elite recruiter.

If you are really analogizing a speeding ticket to beating the crap out of your fiance, then you really ought to take a long look in the mirror and reevaluate how important being associated with a winning basketball team is to your life. Your moral compass is horribly misaligned.

And even if you think that those who object to a candidate that was fired from his previous job -- uncontested -- for beating his fiance are too prudish, the fact that so many Hoosier fans do hold this view ought to disqualify Beard alone, because it shows hiring him would be horribly, and unnecessarily, divisive to the fan base.

Still waiting for beard to be sentenced for this. When is his trial date? Let me know when its scheduled so I can follow the case

And put up with Knight for years, why?

Because he won. When that eroded he was gone.We seem a little self righteous as a fan base and I'm including myself in that statement.

I think Beard is in play, but he is not ahead of Stevens or May. I think there are a couple of other people ahead of him, also. I think tomorrow will be interesting for many different reasons. I have no inside information about tomorrow just seems like a lot is going on. Hopefully for everyone involved this nightmare is over soon.
Beard is in play? Boy that is going to make some very unhappy.

He deserves what he gets Sunday, it is of his own making and he is the only one that can decide on his retirement and "do the right thing."

And the attitude that he is owed something because he was a great player here 40+ years ago and his "kingly" entitlement is exactly what got us here in the first place.

He was put on zero tolerance as soon as video emerged with his hand around a players neck. Is Beard gonna start off on zero tolerance? Sounds like a recipe for success…

I don't know man, being staunchly against domestic violence doesn't really feel like being self-righteous. Maybe he didn't do it, the police report and opinions of the officers are pretty damning, but someone else can take the chance on Beard. I'd rather find someone else, even if they don't win as many basketball games.
I.mean I feel like the people who have beard locked up in prison and guilty as sin also had the Duke lacrosse guys guilty as sin on day one. The holier than they attitude of some is unreal. And rush to judgment no matter what.
