This is probably been mentioned before, do you feel that if Thad Matta was still in office, they would have been more apt to pull Woodson?  IMHO I feel that was one of the reasons Woodson drove him out.  He didn't like that backup option in case he sucked and failed.

So Woodson and Knight had an overall great relationship and DD is pushing a racial tension narrative? EW. I never really paid attention to DD and I certainly won't now. That's just nasty and foul.

How much less NIL do you think Miles Rice would have taken to go to another school had  he known how little he would have advanced his craft and his coach would cut him off at the knees in an attempt to save his own skin?

$6M won't even buy this level of talent with CMW around next season.

We have millions of dollars sitting on the bench. I feel for Rice but you could kinda say that about almost all of our players

Good point.

A big reason there wasn’t a “mass exodus” last season is IU upped the NIL big time for existing players to levels they could not get close to anywhere else.  I bet our portal players were offered $200-300K+ more than anyone else would pay them.

As you said, who knows what Woody would have to pay to get players here next year.  And anyone who would take the money would be a huge red flag.

We got guys on the bench making more than Dawson Garcia. This had nothing to do with woodsons recruiting. That was a lie. It was all about way overpaying to get guys. I mean 500 k for Galloway. Good lord.

When I heard that, my jaw dropped but I believe it.  We already seen signs at NW and it’s going to be bad at Turdue!  The other part that blew my mind was Ballo cussing out the coach and just leaving practice whenever he wants.  Leary asked if Woodson and staff did their homework screening these players?  I laughed because we all know the answer to that question is

And Leal is supposedly $400K, which is insane for 2.5 ppg.  Breaks my brain every time I think about it.  At least it’s our dumb donors paying for it.

I vote we never discuss DD again. More I hear the more I like Goode, and the more I dislike DD. Supporting the attempt to not shake hands just to spite Goode is absolutely classless. He would disrespect the entire building just to uphold a grudge with a player. That's pathetic.

I mean as obvious as it is to us fans how in over his head MW is, can you imagine how much more obvious it is to coaches with a more in-depth knowledge of the game? They must be in utter disbelief watching game tape.

I don’t think it was about Goode, despite whatever friction they have. The way I understood it, it was more about the inmates running the asylum, no player should ever tell the coach to go shake hands.  He was saying that was Woodson’s fault for allowing him to redirect like a grandpa with dementia.  That’s what I took from it.
