The best weapon would be not buying tickets etc, they would absolutely notice when the money dried up.

I've heard bball donations from normal fans (both to the athletic dept and NIL) are way down.  Our mega donors can make up for this, but the small fans do add up to millions of $, and thankfully it sounds like they're all giving to football where their money is used about 1,000x better.

I'm sure bball gameday revenue is down too.  And lastly, bball is marketing for the university, and we've totally irrelevant, so none of that is happening.

Sucking at basketball has a lot of negative financial impacts.

That 1980 Big Ten championship run was something else.  Fondly remember that final game against tOSU.  Damn near cried when the Boilers bounced us on their way to the FF.  I miss that Woody.

I have re watched that OSU game a couple of times on YouTube

Facts, all of them. It's been hinted at that there are psychological issues in play with Woodson. If true, I have to wonder how severe they are, and I have to wonder how long they've been affecting him. If they were present pre hiring I then have to wonder if the administration knew and allowed the hire anyway. But that's a complicated rabbit hole in and of itself. Hell this whole situation is. Who knows what the truth is as to why he does things the way he does. I just simply cannot understand how he thinks he can win without completing a single coaching task required to be successful, especially knowing who HIS coach was. It just breaks my brain. I'm not a coach and the extent of my on court experience was getting up roughly a thousand shots a day decades ago and playing one vs one against one of the actual players at my school and even I understand this stuff. I just watch our games and the whole time I'm asking myself how he doesn't get it? Even I know you can't just chuck money to hang banners so someone please explain it to me :(

I’ve never heard about the psychological issues.  You often wonder why he forgets players names and the way he summarizes a game is pretty general but I don’t want to read too much into that but that just all I’ve noticed.

I'm with you Scott, I can't not watch, but I don't schedule around Iubb games like I used to!  I want to LOVE watching IU play basketball again!

This…100%

….every week during IU basketball season, my wife would ask me when and what times the game were each week. She’s a hair stylist and would also schedule around clients to be able to catch all the games. Lol

Does Woodson have one of these?

I almost added this one to my original tie post, but it seemed too educated…..lol

Don't forget Buckner. The program he supposedly loves would be dead and buried but his buddy would have the job.

Ok add him and Ferguson!  I guess there might be 5 or 6.  Lol

….just not showing up to the game and adding more empty seats, or better yet, season ticket holders selling them to opposing teams dirt cheap.

I find it a little funny how many people say they don't care about IU basketball anymore but spends hours a day on here commenting about them.

I would rather spend time here with like minded IU fans, reading and longing for a much awaited change.  I get more out of reading respected, sourced posts anyway. I don’t watch anymore, I just check the score… lol

That's fair, I just remember it being mentioned by Kathy so like I said, rabbit hole and take it with a grain of salt. Who knows what the actual truth is.

Just a reminder that everything you read on line isn't always true.

His mental acuity is what I have wondered and posted about since his trip to see Flory and what the KHS coaches noticed. Kathy IMO reinforced the idea in a response to me but won't answer any of my follow ups. So either Kathy's silence is a tell there is something to it or Kathy is full of sh*t...

A lot of you say you have apathy towards the program but by coming here and discussing them it shows you still care. If fans totally check out and don't bother to even discuss them or show up for games will show the administration you checked out.

apathy • \AP-uh-thee\ • noun. 1 : lack of feeling or emotion : impassiveness 2 : lack of interest or concern : indifference.

People aren't considering that in a single day Woodson doubled the size of the his incoming recruiting class. What an amazing coach. We should be talking about statues instead of firing.
