Do you know him personally? Have you seen him drinking excessively in public since being in Mississippi? Have there been allegations of him drinking in excess since being at Ole Miss? I haven't heard of any! How do you know he didn't have his epiphany and is Lazer focused on coaching basketball now? Again, he is already damned in the public eye because of that incident.  I believe in second chances and so far he is passing very well, I'm full go on Beard kicking @$$ and bringing IU back to the big boy table where we belong!

I am in the corner of at least consider him as a coaching candidate and give him an interview with Dolson and Whitten and let them decide.  I would trust what that outcome would be.  We have our opinions and that is it, but I for one would entertain the possibility of him being the IU coach based on the proper interviewing process by Dolson and Whitten!

What changed why don’t the players listen to him anymore? I think it’s because Trey and Leal got separated in the locker room and they’re still mad about it.

I'm sorry but Galloway is a huge part of the problem. No leadership and hasn't improved at all in the last couple of years. He's phoning it in like everyone else.

I stated earlier I believe that. But whoever was feeding him the story wanted it out that Steven’s had no interest. Could’ve been Steven’s camp or the Celtics front office.

Correct. If you are taking over GM role, why have it out there you want to go back to college? Would be a constant distraction.

He’s not that personality type-he just isn’t.

In the Woodson era the leadership ready types have been TJD, Kopp, Leal, Goode, Phinisee maybe.

What a great night of sleep. Feel good for the weekend. Things are about to change around here.
Well let's get on with it! If bako is liking fire woodson tweets there is a real possibility that along with terrible coaching and game prep the players are just done with the king. If that is the case what are we waiting for?

It’s also COMPLETELY different in college. I don’t care that they are “NBA aged and getting paid.” There isn’t an NBA arena in use that compares to packed Assembly Hall except for maybe Boston or Market Square Garden(s). Getting booed by fellow students who you live in a small bubble with like BTown and are going to see around campus is not remotely similar to NBA players hearing from the crowd. Mike Woodson being a shitty coach and not putting them in a position to succeed is not their fault.

NBA arenas are libraries compared to AH with angry or happy students. And that’s before you get to the point that NBA DJs will drown out the crowd during play.

Again, I don’t blame anyone for feeling the opposite, and I 100% understand the sentiment, I just won’t agree to booing anyone but this coaching staff. I want the students to boo Woody everytime he stands up or is shown on the screen. Not Gallo being checked back in by a coach with stupid substitutions lol

Heck the should get booed on campus too after two 25 point beatings.

It is so stupid that we’re even in this situation. I hate Buckner.

Buckner and Ferguson.  At least Doyel called them out yesterday in the Star so more people are aware of these two morons.

But they answer to no one, and no one bothers to try and ask them questions.  They did neglected their duties, did serious damage to IUBB, and they will face no repercussions.

I'm praying Dolson is in control and he does a good enough job as AD to have control for a long time.  If we have an AD change, I worry about the power vacuum letting idiot trustees and donors back in.

Sure. I’m just pushing back on the idea that it is any sort of indication of interest. Both in actions and words, IU was told to take a hike.

The idea that Steven’s covets the job is just idle speculation and message board gossip.  It could be true. Hell, I hope it’s true. But nobody outside of us (diehard IU fans) looks at the situation and concludes Steven’s is just dying to get to IU.

(ok, I’m putt my realism hat back in the closet, putting back on my IU hat and impatiently waiting of more news of the return of the prodigal son :)

From hearing more about it I think Ferguson was the one who screwed it up last time. Hopefully, it was not on purpose but he supposedly said let's get the woman out of the room so we can negotiate not knowing that Tracy was Brad's wife and agent. That rubbed her the wrong away of course

Not a big Doyel fan, but kinda wanted to read what he had to say. They must put him behind a paywall. Can read other Star stories, but not this column.
