I saw that too. I just can’t see IU doing but I do think he can coach.

The only way I see it is if they tell him he has to stop drinking.

Texas literally has a football coach who is in open recovery and got fired for being a jackass at a booster event USC. Beard didn’t get fired from some overly sensitive school afraid of controversy. And he got fired for cause. Which is not an easy thing to prove. And he didn’t fight it. People keep saying “second chances.” I would argue that’s already happened, he literally got hired at a place in the same conference that’s notorious for terrible choices in the name of winning. We wouldn’t be his “second chance,” we would be the organization than decided to ignore all the baggage in the name of wins. I’d rather keep Mike Woodson than hire someone who was charged with felony domestic assault.

Up until the hiring news broke, the search had been very quiet, much like Dolson’s later revenue sport search would be. But if you knew who to trust, you knew there was a slow burn to a clandestine meeting in FL, then it fell apart.

No one has to believe me, but I was here, I PM’d some with the sources folks around here, and if you’re around long enough and pay attention, it’s obvious who among us is 1) BSing, 2) not sourced but here for fun and opinion sharing, and/or 3) who actually knows things occasionally.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, the only thing I would disagree on is he was in the SEC before Texas was.   Maybe he can get UT for stalking him? /s

Ant Wright is fine he’s just objective. It’s not like he’s defending our terrible losses, he just keeps it real.

I like Ant but that’s just not true. For some odd reason he’s a Woody Homer despite being a UM alum. At this point Woody is indefensible but Ant and the burners tried as long as possible.

In general all things not Woody, he does a good job. He’s also oddly critical of Dusty May over the past 2 seasons.

There’s a lot going on. Think it’s just about timing and setting up everything for successful transition. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got a Sunday or first thing Monday morning announcement.
