Sorry haters I’m afraid we’re back.

I read today that Woodson and Buckner are lobbying to get SHSU in the B1G so Woodson can get a couple of guaranteed wins.

At this rate the Pac 12 schools may beg the cougs and beavs to let them come home. Again, I do apologize.

7 years 70 million, a teaching spot for his wife in the Mauer School of Law, and a soccer scholarship for their daughter and they will be in Bloomington. Honestly, I haven't let myself get that close to thinking about it again. When we checked in with him after last season the time wasn't right but since they won the NBA championship who knows.

You don’t just quit coaching completely. He’s coming home once Woody gets shown the door next spring. Or should I say, when Woody “retires”.

Can we just play with 1 big? Please!

This was one of my biggest concerns when Ballo signed, there’s no reason he and another big should play together. The issue is Woodson still thinks basketball is played when he was last a head coach (2013).

I just saw that Mike Woodson knows exactly what needs to be done to get better. He said they have to play harder and get better. Whew! Makes me feel good knowing he has such a detailed plan.

He’s the king of detailed plans, not!

No that is exactly what you are saying.  You start out saying at IU the AD has to build consensus on the hire and/or fire -- he must consult various people to build that consensus.  Then when that consensus is formed a final decision is made.  You have stated multiple time that is how IU and many other athletic departments work.  Fine so be it.

But now you say, Woodson was pushed to SD by Quinn and maybe someone else.  That is not the consensus building model which you say many athletic departments use.  That is someone using his "power" to bully others into a decision.

This is exactly my thought. To me under this suggested framework,  The AD should be the one coming up with candidates and getting consensus and agreement. They are the one in the drivers seat. Instead you have our AD being completely disregarded and has another candidate shoved on them. A choice no sane person would chose.

And it's not the first time it's happened before. It happened when Adam Herbert pushed Sampson and told the AD to hire him over his preferred choice. Basically at IU the AD is nothing more than a figure head. One to take the blame when a collection of incompetent presidents, board members and donors make hiring decisions. Heck we talk about how awful previous AD's have been, sounds like it's been intentional.

My only problem with him is that in some pictures he kinda looks like Doug Gottlieb, which I don't love.  But everything else you said sounds great.

Watch the full game highlights of Drake vs Miami on YouTube. Then watch some of his NW Missouri State games. You’ll forget all about that Gottlieb  association.

Timing is really rough for currently employed nba guys. The season doesn’t end until June and nobody is walking away from the defending champs before the season is over.

(I can’t believe I am even Stevens poasting…but I’m bored with IU basketball right now and barely watched the game…)
