To me that says while an AD can have that authority, Dolson doesn't.  But IMO Cathy is either someone who knows someone on the board is just simply doing a roundabout way of defending them (doing a lot of doublespeak and then ending with 'I'm not either defending or supporting' but when anyone attacks the BOT, she is pointing fingers elsewhere) or "she" is just Ngw's alternate account.  In her version, Quinn and the BOT supported hiring Woodson as did Dolson but it's Dolson's fault despite the fact that Dolson's first choice was Stevens.

Don't forget, it's also Glass's fault in the first place for making Woodson wait in the metaphorical lobby. 

Gee seems weird 2 different ADs have the same exact problem (being pressured to hire Woody). Now the one who bent the knee, is being left out to dry and neutered in his role. Lol.

Was that in Indy?  Doubt many IU fans will be in Minnesota (is that where we play this year) to notice any booing

Yes, hence the "minus a couple hundred IU fans". There were 6,500 people in Lucas Oil that night and you could still hear him getting booed on TV lol. And never underestimate IU fans' willingness to travel.

As for an agenda, when you're admittedly part of the administration, everything you say is in defense of the BOT despite you claiming you're not here to criticize or defend, while offering no actual insight to back that up and then be dismissive to anybody trying to have an actual dialogue ... You know, about something substantive like how consensus decision making may lead to unilateral authority ... it's hard to take it for anything but an agenda. She's not sharing an opinion I disagree with she is positioning herself as an administration insider, then offering no actual perspective aside from telling you that you're wrong and know nothing re: what you're talking about. I don't see that kind of posting style bringing much value to the board. 

Give me a vacation if I'm being too much but I've got way less patience for that than anything NGW did

I would LOVE to get my hopes up again, believe me, but I'm having trouble getting excited when a statement was already sent out saying he'd be back next year. Are we just ignoring that? Or, are we hoping Liam leaving and the arrogant senior day speech from Woody is enough to make them backtrack on the statement?

Hey ya'll, 

I've been abroad the past 10 days or so, just got back yesterday. Wanted to follow up on my previous bit about Trey, where he was planning on opening up his playing options at the end of the year. Suffice to say I was taken back by his announcement to return. Yesterday, I saw the person who gave me this info. Again, I will say that this person is legit and I know them well - zero reason to make up BS and has very close ties. They said that they were also shocked by the announcement, it was completely opposite of what he had been saying to his small circle most of the season. We both believe that at some point in the past week he was offered a substantial (like 2x) NIL package to stay at IU. As we know, IU's NIL for next year was substantially increased over the past 2 weeks. My person should get more official word from the family on what exactly went down and I will pass that along when I get it.

It said it was a source from the athletic department saying he would be back. Didn't have a name attached to it. It could be NGW for all we know.

I've seen a handful of references to last week's "statement" saying Woody would return. 

Just an FYI -- there was no such statement. It was information that apparently was leaked from someone within the athletic department to the media. 

There has never been such a statement and TBH, I wouldn't necessarily expect one. Well, except for Woody's defiant declaration on Senior Day.
