Only IU would fire a disgruntled coach, make a mid season “retirement” announcement, but then keep said disgruntled coach until the end of the season. Scott Dolson masterclass.

Guys…Georgetown handled the end of the Ewing era much worse, if I recall. I think they didn’t say anything and he just coached out the string on a much worse team.

I am underwhelmed. Suppose this was the right move for Scott to preserve important relationships/his own job security. 

That said, it's alleged Mike Woodson literally quit on this team. Walked into Dolson's office yesterday and said he quits. 

I get saving a few million on the buyout is probably worth it, but the way it's played out shows how neutered Scott is.

He’s a yes man, imo. No part of me has confidence in him landing a top tier replacement.

What are the odds that he will put in a 3 big lineup (Ballo, Hatton, and Reneau)  at one point in a game here soon?  I say they are about 80% chance it happens just because he can.

This is gonna be a longggggg rest of the season if most of our targets are in March Madness unless we are getting Stevens then I just hope the deal gets done very quickly to get a jump start on next season.

What are things that didn't happen.  If that has any truth to it at all, Dolson says "cool, you need a few boxes to clean out your office?"  Helps him pack his truck, and then appoints and interim HC and drafts a statement.

A student joined a twitter space with the Hysterics and claimed a student manager told them that happened. 

I don't think it would be as simple as you make it sound. At least we can count down until he is gone now.

Mabe she will say he choose to step down because of us mean fans and pur unrealistic expectations for a six million dollar roster.
