Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Can we at least get rid of our leftover assistants completely? Brandon Shelby has been with IU for how long? And our DBs have been baaaaaad, yet he still keeps his job(not sure why that one gets a pass from everyone). New OC, new DC, new position coaches. IU needs a FRESH start. Can't keep around a bunch of loser coaches from the past culture. Jeff Flabjohns, Alford Bailey and thebigweave 3 Quote
SamIam Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Flight trackers are up and running on twitter......looks like there was one into Harrisonburg this AM Quote

Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 For anyone tracking flights. Ya ain't gonna find anything worthwhile. They know fans are trying to track them. They will find a way to keep that a secret as well. thebigweave and NVFalcons1990 2 Quote

I’m assuming he’s the son of the NFL coach but don’t know for sure. He's not to my knowledge. Kyle Shanahan is his son, he's on the 49ers staff, has a daughter as well. IUHoosierJoe 1 Quote

Guys like Chryst and Herman can probably do better. I'm still not understanding the Herman love. Homie just went 4-8 at FAU after failing at Texas. Stuhoo 1 Quote

(seriously though if Pfau's plane flying to Harrisonburg and Cignetti is following IUFB guys thats a ton of smoke) thebigweave and Loaded Chicken Sandwich 2 Quote

Popular Post Lebowski Posted November 29, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 29, 2023 I'll be really happy if we land Cig. IUP had a 4-10 conference record prior to Cig's arrival and in his first year they went 7-3. Elon had a 4-20 conference record and six straight losing seasons prior to Cig's arrival. They won 8 games his first season there. While at JMU he's always been 1st in the conference. Guys, this is a big effin' deal if we land this coach. I'm trying to stay calm about this because I don't want to get my hopes up. LOL! cybergates, lillurk, Ryno6284 and 6 others 8 1 Quote

He's an OG member of Saban's Bama crew, coached both Philip Rivers and Russell Wilson at NC State and is well respected among the coaching community. I'm betting Mike Shanahan joins him for sure. Ball St. grad and 2012 IUFB coach Bryant Haines will probably join him as well. Both have been with him since IUP. Pat Kuntz former Roncalli and ND standout is JMU’s DL coach as well. Kuntz coached at IU under Allen for a few years previously. Lebowski and Rico 2 Quote

Assistants get retained like 0.1% of the time. This isn’t something to fret over. thebigweave 1 Quote

I think JMU offense was run oriented but if it works it works. The other site has the video of Cignetti being on the Pat McAfee show. cbp4iu Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 I’m guessing if it is Cigs… I’m guessing it gets announced tonight. I think too much smoke. Then Friday 12pm press conference Friday Night fan base introduce at halftime. lillurk and thebigweave 2 Quote
Stuhoo Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Between Cignetti and Candle if they were both huge successes, who would be more likely to leave after three or four years? Clearly Candle. So I guess I’m OK with the age thing given that five good years if we got them, would make him a success with a year or two extra over a poachable younger coach who was a success.
