I think IU's next coach will be someone off of everyone's radar. Fans, media, everyone.

That depends on how your radar is calibrated.

Unless we offer a ridiculous amount of money, no.

What's a ridiculous amount? Chris mentioned the figures 7-9 million here. If any of that is true that makes me wonder if we could actually pull off landing someone currently coaching at a P5. I was just using Lance Leipold as an example, so keep that in mind. But he currently is getting paid 5 million a year. His buyout is 12.5 million.

If 7-9 million is actually being discussed that puts things in a completely different playing field. Or does it? I would think that would, unless of course I'm completely fooling myself about it. I mean these numbers would expand the coaching search, right? I'm trying to not get too excited about this and stay grounded. Because we're talking IUFB here.

Serious question here, do any of y'all think IUFB could land a coach already coaching in a P5? Someone like Lance Leipold?

The only possible name I can think of would be Jake Dickert from Wash St.  His current base salary is about $2.8 mil so IU could potentially offer a nice raise plus significant conference stability and TV revenue to invest in the program, compared to the zero conference stability his program currently has.

Wondering how serious a look -- if any -- Fuente will get?

Not necessarily advocating for him -- just asking the question, mainly because it would be so IU to take the path of least resistance.

Thoughts on Jamey Chadwell?

Looks like Miss St is eyeing him. Already at $4m/year at Liberty though. Seems like all he does is win.

I'm all aboard the Chadwell train. I love him and his offense is awesome. We'll never recruit at a top tier level in the B1G so we need to be a bit gimmicky on offense. The type of guy I doubt we could land, but I'd be ecstatic.

I would love that.  Plus I think Sorsby would be a pretty ideal QB for that spread midline option scheme.
