IU vs UK back on

I would have passed on this set up tbh.  If we should expect "to have a seat at the table" in recruiting top kids I would want the same concept here.  I would have been ok with

year 1 - Yum Center

year 2 - UK or Bloomington

year 3 - Lucas Oil

year 4 - Bloomington or UK

Bring in the Louisville fans to troll the audience on that one.

Never liked Cal at any of his previous stops and like him even less at Kentucky. Don't like the optics of the deal because I think it makes us look desperate in light of the way the series ended. Self agreed to a home and home so, unlike Kentucky and their bed wetter coach, Kansas apparently isn't afraid of playing in Assembly Hall.

I absolutely hate that IU wussed out and agreed to play one of IU's home games in Indy... these rivalry games should be played on campus... and note that pUKe didn't move one of their home games off campus to a semi-neutral site.

If it’s any consolation, Rupp Arena is off campus. Everything about them and their program sux.

With the current trajectories of both programs, I’ll gladly beat UK’s @$$ in a much larger venue inside our state.

I was fine not playing Kentucky. They got their butts kicked and then threw a tantrum and ended the series. That’s the way things should be left.

Begging them to get back on the schedule is frankly kind of embarrassing. But maybe that’s just reality and the wake up call fans need to realize where this program is at: taking mid-major scheduling arrangements to get marquee opponents.

The funny thing is we didn’t have to do that to get Kansas. And I’d much rather schedule home and home series with Kansas, Arizona, UNC, etc… than give in to Kentucky.

After reading all the responses criticizing this deal and the pathetic whining about how IU gave in to UK, I have come to the conclusion that most of you are wimps. Why not be excited because we get to play a quality opponent? Who cares where we play them, we should beat them wherever the game is play. Honestly I came here expecting to read quality discussions about this news and instead read a bunch of sissy remarks from women pretending to be men.

Welcome to the board MyHurricane.

As an aside, in my general experience women are every bit as strong and “not sissy” as men. And then some. So an unfortunate word choice by you there IMO.

Also, disagreeing with other posters is encouraged! However, insulting other posters in your first post is something that can also be … an unfortunate choice of words.

But I agree that we should play them no matter what or where, and kick their ***** wherever we play them.

So please keep posting! Oughta be some thought provoking stuff. :)

May be one of the all-time best first posts.  Welcome to btb and hope you keep posting.
