Not all those awards. I said possibly, but my possibly was intended his potential to fill a much needed position left by Trayce. I know I’m putting the cart before the horse, but he and his gifted abilities are going to be huge for any D-1 school. JMO

So here's the possibilities of what he could do;

Ware could be the shot altering, switchable for his size, long, athletic big that can finish in transition, step out to the three point line, and function in the post, especially against mismatches.

No one will match what TJD did last year this year, however, you offset that by addressing the gaping holes that the team had this past year while losing an All American but replacing him with about the best option in the portal.

IU won’t be needing to jumpstart their offense by having TJD touch the ball 10 seconds into the shot clock. When TJD didn’t touch the ball our possession was likely a bad shot or a forced jump shot

How many times this year did TJD win the tip, then just sprint to the hoop for a quick pass and easy layup?  You knew it was coming every game, and it still worked more often than not.

And I'm with you all.  We won't replicate TJD.  Especially his passing.  Shoot, how many times did we see someone back off a drive after Trayce had already blocked him once?

BUT, major props to the staff if they can land Ware.  Pretty aggressively addressing the need.  I am concerned that Malik at the 4 puts us back in the position of playing too big/two bigs.

If we are so blessed to get Ware, there should be no reason he shouldn’t be able to challenge the laurels of TJD. First thing, get him to the weight room.

 Ware can do a few things that TJD didn't but there's absolutely no way that Ware is going to have the kind of season that TJD did. TJD's season this year was generational, we won't see anything like that again for a long, long time. That is not to say Ware can't or won't have a very good season but I'd be ecstatic for a Jeff Newton as an upperclassman level of performance.

Jeff Newton was very good, but I always thought he was a bit sluggish at times and lacked explosiveness. JMO

Depression:  the gift that is caused by unreasonable expectations...and bad jokes.

I pushed my soul in a deep dark hole and then I followed it in.  Dave for two!

My doctor prescribed a new drug for depression called Enditol.

I used to suffer from depression.  But by hard work, perseverance and never giving up..I now suffer from anxiety, too.

To whomever stole my anti-depression medications...I hope you are happy.

I'd tell another joke.  But you would hate it.

Basically IU is in really position with Ware. Rabby pointed out Ya did a tremendous job gettIng IU to that point.   IU fans are crazy and hang on every thing and try to find every nugget they can and roll with it.   He never came out and said there would be a commitment last night and even said the plan was for him to have another visit.  Last night you have multiple places showing excitement and IU fans (shocker) just ran with it and built up an expectation.   IU is in a very good spot with a top level transfer and after his next visit which is scheduled for tomorrow IU will know if coach Ya hard work will payoff.   Whether Rabjohns likes it or not pretty much a whole fan base hangs on his every word or story

Agree with the bolded part IU fans are crazy but there are those who have a huge platform (mainly on Twitter) that added gasoline to the fire...and it was totally unnecessary. Is what it is.
