They had some business at this level. They just needed someone to develop them.

No, everyone in the country is now eligible immediately no matter how many times they have transferred in the past.

Some work to get better.  Some do not.  Some coaches are better at pushing their players to improve.  Some are not.  

If Gunn finds a coach to calm him down, play under control and shoot on balance, he'll be fine.

Sparks was actually ranked a top 100 transfer portal player. Basically the portal is slim pickings for true impact players like ware. Most portal guys are nothing special.

Lander went to a lower level and contributes, at least, on a team that made the tourney. Sparks averaged about 13 and 9 at BSU. Al Durham went and had a nice career at Providence. Franklin continued a solid career at Virginia. Bates is debatable but definitely showed he could score at this level this past year.   
 

Some of it is misidentifying talent but it’s annoying we can’t coax a little more production out of these guys.
