Wife and I took a trip over there in the fall and couldn't stop talking about how, for so many different reasons, our souls just felt at home. But this is a ranting thread, so I won't derail with stories full of wonder and joy. My rant - I've been stuck on the mainland for too many years. I shall hopefully find myself over there sometime soon-ish too. Best of luck, I'd advise to make friends with locals through clubs, church, gatherings, etc. as quick as you can. It's awesome to visit places but even better to experience the local life and culture. lillurk and ALASKA HOOSIER 2

realTomCrean Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Through all of this I sought for a positive and here it is… IU hasn’t missed the tournament in my son’s life & Woodson has a positive record in his lifetime. He’s 1, go Hoosiers!! Chris007 and southsidehoosier 2
Stuhoo Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 If you all want to rave instead of rant, switch on the IUBB women’s game . Top ten matchup against Maryland and great basketball at the Hall.
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Most of the IU fans I talked to throughout the day are done on the season…. This season went off the deep end so quickly. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners HoosierTrav and coonhounds 2

I'm not very bothered by that at all. It's happened before: PS: check out the last 15 seconds of this video. Damn, now that is a basketball player cutting with purpose. One of my favorite videos. Two hot heads chirping at each other only to follow up with actual teaching what the coach wanted. Ryno6284 1

Exhibit 'A' was when he did so to Coach Knight. Exhibit 'B'? Jacob Jaacks and the "nose incident." Note, Lewis being nasty resulted in Iowa Coach Tom Davis leaving the coaching box (the horror!) and IU getting a two shot technical. Lol Moral of the story for me? Miller Kopp has severe limitations as a player, but getting irrationally pissed off is WAY down the list. Problem is I don't think Kopp can back it up as well as Lewis could. Chris007 and Ryno6284 2

To me the difference is that Lewis was (is) tough and very competitive. You could really see him giving it his all when he was playing. I can't say the same about Kopp on any of those aspects so instead of a heated disagreement with a coach, from Kopp it would look like a petulant child yelling at an adult. tkbbn, Golfman25 and IUCrazy2 3

Only thing that would worry me is that Malik has yet to show that he can rebound at super high level. Or defend the rim... Or not foul... Reneau is either gonna have to really pack on the size or completely transform himself into a much quicker, bouncier 4.
Hornsby Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I honestly can't believe that someone would think losing TJD, JHS, Miller, Race and we would be better this year. It explains a lot about how people think. Some did. Some were talking sweet sixeteen this summer Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk
Brass Cannon Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 We are a fringe tourney team in year 3 and we are hoping to figure out something resembling a guard rotation for next year but sure everything is just peachy
Hornsby Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I like the position we're in going into year 4 myself. McNeely, the final 2 really for Queen, Sanon good possibility since he will reclassify, and bring back Mgbako, Reneau, Galloway, Cupps. Yes we need a PG in the portal. But I look at things differently than others. If mm stays, we land Queen and a top pg in the portal we would probably be allright. Allright. But that's is some big if'.Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk

Popular Post Stuhoo Posted December 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2023 Good news guys! I am bumping this thread from last year. It is full of comments about how we suck, how we are not a tournament team, how Woodson teams will never beat Purdue, how we are in a 30 year rut, how Miller Kopp and so many others lack toughness, how IU is likely to soon be at 1-7 in conference play and is a bottom four B1G team (maybe my personal favorite), and other assorted goodies. This thread was created during a December/January losing streak last year and thoroughly describes how and why the team is lost with little chance of recovery. There is also very little hint of a prediction of last year's two wins over Purdue, the tie for second in conference, or the 4 seed in the NCAA's in this thread, but you can't expect a thread to have everything! So, here's the place to vent; hoping it will help to leave game threads for game conversation. Have at it all! triple, LIHoosier, Home Jersey and 11 others 5 4 5

Dave from Dayton Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 If we had RMK at IU today, he would be saying to recruits: "I don't care what your name is, son, but can you create and make shots?" Proving once again that RMK was extremely flexible and an innovator. Each and every season, IU should be on an upward trend. Last year, 4 starters left for the pros or whatever. This year we should have 5 starters leave the program. Last year at this time of the year we had lost to Rutgers. This year at this point we have not lost to Rutgers. IU continues to need a shot doctor. Found the right one! And we keep hearing that IU needs to take better advantage of the porthole. No kidding! https://www.tiktok.com/@thecloneguyy/video/7305954611817418026?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc We really do need to recruit socal. Popular Post Josh Posted December 19, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 19, 2023 Rant thread? Hell yes, let's do this. I'm really ******* tired of misuse of the word Fresh. What does fresh mean anymore? Subway says "eat fresh". WTF is fresh at Subway? the ultra processed deli meat? Chipotle says they're fresh. They get their ingredients sent from a farm to a processing plant, then to semi trucks that drive them down the highway until they ultimately arrive at a sterile store. That's "fresh"? All these meal delivery places that process foods, freeze dry them, then send them to your door days later say they're fresh as they name themselves cute things like Freshly. I had my mother for tacos a few nights ago. I prefer chopped raw tomatoes on mine, my wife prefers salsa. So we had both options. I heard my mother say "Ooh, fresh tomatoes!" I expected to see her grab the raw tomatoes, but it turns out the salsa had "made from fresh tomatoes" on it which lured her in. WTF does "fresh" mean? I frikkin hate the misuse of the word and all the sheeple who think nothing of it. WAKE UP! Chris007, go iu bb, Banksyrules and 8 others 5 2 4
