Wasn't Mizzou in with him as well? He made a grand cut of 1. Demo 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Wonder if Woody's golden tongue kept it at a top 4 and not a top 3. Quote
IUFAN1976 Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 I would like to see him pick IU, but his entire recruit just seems exhausting. I am sure most recruitments are like this and I can’t imagine what Woodson and staff go through for each and every recruitment pumpfake and Hardwood83 2 Quote

AKHoosier Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Well if he doesn't go to IU, I hope he doesn't go to USC because I don't want to have him in the conference. That just doesn't seem real. BtownStrength 1 Quote
Demo Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Taking a senior official to Cincinnati 9/24 after having already taken a junior official there over the summer. Quote

Hmmmm… that seems to be telling. I think that’s the same weekend Queen is in Bloomington. mamasa 1 Quote

If that’s where Page ends up it would be a perfectly reasonable choice. Good basketball school with a great fanbase and imo the best young HC in the country. The geography makes more sense for him than USC. Should Collier end up there as well, couldn’t really argue with it. mamasa and Stuhoo 2 Quote

It sounds like we're 4th out of 4 on his list. Time to hope Queen reclassifies or keep pushing the 2024s. Eagle’s Rug, mamasa and BtownStrength 3 Quote

Maybe a portal big if not? Chris007 1 Quote

At this point, maybe that would be the better recruiting strategy. ebridges24 1 Quote

Guessing it was facetious, but no, I do not believe that the staff in any way is expecting TJD to be back after this year. Who we get is very, very important, but as many have agreed (including you) recruiting is not judged on "who we don't get," it's judged on "who we get." And that story has not been revealed yet for 2023. Dave from Dayton, thebigweave, Hoosierfanyuh and 1 other 4 Quote
triple Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 When I read Page's Inside the Hall interview after his IU visit, the last thing that came to mind was excitement. I just don't think he clicked with the program. Sometimes that's just the way it goes. Stuhoo 1 Quote

We were his 1st offer I believe, and we recruited him hard. Nothing more we could have done. J34 1 Quote
