I’ve always raved about his skillset. I just didn’t know how long it would take to translate. I’ve always thought of him Watford type player with more agility. Nice to hear his confidence translates to practice, hopefully it translates to games.

I was telling a close buddy a couple weeks ago that I think he’s our next OG…. Maybe not as physically gifted but a guy that is relatively slept on and ends up massively (and unexpectedly) impacting this team. I don’t think any of us are counting on him giving us much early but if he does, we are that much better. Love the way the roster is taking shape for the future.

When did Logan announce he was entering the portal, and then ultimately transferring? Looks like he attended this with Kaleb in April, still wearing a Hoosiers sweatshirt. Unless these were old pictures from a prior event. Good on him if this was after those announcements, although he could of dressed up a little more haha.

Unless all of his classes were online, he would’ve been on campus through April/some of May finishing up the spring semester.

Guessing it’s part of Kaleb and Logan’s NIL arrangements.

However, if the current climate includes NIL deals this is no doubt an excellent way to do it.

Kinda strange having a guy that has committed to play at Xavier next season still representing IU. Nice to see him still giving back to the community until he official leaves.

yes, same with all of our other transfers, but in reverse. The incoming guys have all been on their original campuses, even after going portaling and committing to us. One minor worry I had about Ware, I wanted him on campus ASAP with Clif and start working on PnP/PNR with XJ.

Ware is getting professional workouts and individual skill development right now in California.  It should prove to be greatly beneficial.  In a few weeks, early June they should all be on campus together with Clif and getting used to one another.

So... what about from March 27th to now?

There was a good month to 5 weeks of lag where Kel'el was on Oregon's campus before he was able to get to those individual skill development sessions.

He could make that jump as the energy guy / rebounding tough defender and all out hustle player off the bench. He sounds like he’s buying in on that. Positional awareness and avoiding quick fouls and mistakes while he goes for that energy impact will be key

Gonna be interesting. I’ve got him slotted as the backup 3 to Mgbako.

X/Cupps

Gallo/Gunn

Mgbako/Banks

Reneau/Walker

Ware/Sparks

Seems to be lots of versatility 3-5. I don’t think we see 3 guard lineups much this year unless Cupps proves he has to be on the floor.  I see our 4s as 5s as need be so the slide can happen that way to create playing time too but Ware, Reneau, Mgbako gonna get first dibs 3-5 and the play will dictate from there.

I like Banks a lot. Not sure I really see him sneaking minutes at the 2 but that would be slick if he was good enough for that.
