Problem is outside of Bennett or Donovan there's really no home run left.  Dolson will have egg all over his face.  You just don't fire Archie with that buyout without a guarantee.

Why is that? That makes no sense. If you have a lame duck coach that can’t fill a roster, has a losing record and has the worst recruiting class in the bigten coming in, you have no choice but to move on

I'm not going to go digging but there were things at his stint at New Mexico, not like the Iowa incident, but his personal character isn't the image he portrays.  For me, it's not just Iowa that turns me off on Alford.

Yep.

I realize you get caught up in the heat of the moment, but to me, this just is an ugly optic. Especially for a guy who repeatedly touts his faith and Christianity. None of us are perfect, but I remember seeing this and -- it just really bothered me ... As the coach of a major university, you can't get caught up in something like this ...

This may sound far fetched but with Beard coaching in Bloomington, do you think that close circle who know sent out all this info did it as a smoke screen for Beard? It’s sounds cynical but they could’ve just leaked it to close friends so nothing was ever official just to keep Beard under wraps for the tournament?

apparently you missed my post a few pages back.. :92:

Yes. It's weird that the bar is set so low after the past 5 years (includes CTC's last season) that finding an upgrade should be extremely doable.  Instead, many are acting like we just got the death penalty.

Any possibility this is just everyone's way of saving face so he can finish Bostons season? No I'm not holding onto hope, just curious. The comments about feeling like he needs to see the season through coupled with the good vibes we were getting on here seem odd.

After that press conference though, Dolson will have fans up his @$$ if this goes until June.

Let me ask this, if Brad Stevens (I know he wouldn’t but) did that would any of us say anything at all?? We would probably say we love his passion.

We need someone who is committed to iu basketball and who can recruit and be successful. If stevens don't want it we need to find the next person who is. Remember stevens went to two title games and lost both. We need someone who can win lol. Kinda
