Someone already posted these numbers but now is a good chance to do so again: At a P4 schools, he's won 67.5% (179-86) overall but only 53.7% (73-63) in conference in 7 whole seasons and 2 partial seasons. Of his complete seasons: Only 1 time did he finish with less than 7 losses in conference. Only once did he finish with single digit losses. It's just not as impressive of a resume as some make it seem. They look at only those 2 really good seasons at TT which he hasn't come close to replicating. Emotionally intelligent adults can control their temper in public and not resort to violent actions. Helluva basketball coach, and did a lot of good in this world as well. He was a very complex individual. Chris Beard is 100% not Bob Knight as a basketball coach, and does not have his reputation for all the good Bob Knight did outside the game either.
