I think one other thing that has changed or hopefully, Scott is using is how Cig is treated after one winning season as a football coach. That dude can walk on water. Now go get someone who does that with basketball and we'll be praying to you on Sunday mornings

Come unto me and I will give you B1G Championships and Final Fours...

He added that he took the field because he thinks both Pearl & Beard are non-starters and that the math dictates that he take the field.

The UL campus is so bad lol. Pretty nice athletics campus though despite the location and the Yum Center downtown is first class. Related since it's close to campus: I was stunned to learn that Churchill Downs is in the middle of...that area right in the middle of the city.

The Speed Museum is pretty cool. Got lots of really cool Indian artifacts and stuff.  The campus pretty much sucks!  Always has and I’m sure always will.  Ur right, Churchill is in the middle of a dumpy area. When it was built I’m sure it was on the outskirts of town but that was along time ago.  The powers that be in L-ville let it go down hill.  The east is the only area worth a crap.  Louisville does have some real nice city parks.  Cherokee and Seneca, etc and some nice public golf courses except Shawnee.  I’ve heard you can get guns stuck in ur face and robbed there now.  To bad.  I used to play those courses in high school and college.

It's favorable to Brad and Dusty so you won't like it. So no reason to share it :-)

If you care too... argue Dusty over Brad as far as a coach (other than IU ties). There are concerns about his teams losing leads? Can he "build a monster?"

Just out of curiosity, what do fans think is a BIG NAME/HOME RUN? Take Stevens out of the equation, is MAY a big name?

I would place him in that category, yes. Along with Drew, Few, Beard (whom I know isn’t an option)…. Guys that would excite the fanbase and have very little downside risk.

My biggest concern with Cronin would be recruiting.  Doesn’t look like he’s landed a single top 100 player in 2025 and only got one in 2024 and that was a kid from LA.  I feel like Alford recruited a lot better there.  Is he really that much of an @$$ that no one wants to play for him?

That is the part that sucks. As Tom Petty said Waiting is the hardest part

Rabby had a quote on the radio today that made me go "hmmmmm....."

"Lot of coaching announcements come somewhere around the final 4 weekend. The convention, agents, coaches, associates, associates of associates, all meeting in the city with the final 4. If that's the timeline, we're looking at 4-6 weeks, something like that, of a coaching search. It could happen before that, and I think it's probably likely, right now, that it does happen before that."

That would have to mean Stevens then, no?

In my unprofessional opinion, it means Stevens OR a HC who's team is out of the tournament by that time. So, technically, if Michigan or UCLA or whoever is out early, it could get done earlier than the final 4.

I say if Stevens and May say no, just hire McCollum and call it a day. I don't care where he has coached because winners win no matter where they coach. It is obviously he has built a culture in his program and get kids to fit that culture to win at that high of a rate.

Boring basketball.
