Also, I just want to remind everyone here that none of this money is coming from any of our pockets. I don’t care if they pay someone 12 million, a yacht, and a rental property on the moon. If we get our guy we get our guy and the money will be of absolutely no consequence in the long run. Who cares if we have to pay double or triple for someone? This is the benefit we get from being IU and having folks willing to pony up, where other schools may not.

Let’s just hope they put it in the right people’s pockets because their track record not so good.

It does seem high, 11.5 would mean the Celts are  paying more for him to be front office than all but like 4 head coaches.. I can’t imagine that’s the case for an exec but who knows.

Maybe Stevens had an NBA Championship bonus in his contract and 11.5 is what he made with the bonus included.

Huge buyout.   Has things rolling at Bama.  Made a final 4 already and has them in position to be a 1 seed in the tourney again.  Don’t think he would want to leave Bama for a rebuild unless it’s North Carolina or Kansas.   Told Kentucky thanks but no thanks last cycle
Thanks for the response. I wasn't sure what his buyout was.

Without really getting too deep into it I think if we all read the tea leaves around various boards it’s obvious Dusty is going to be our coach. No offense to any insider here but I’ll believe BS is in play when he announces he’ll be our coach. Until then I’m going to assume he’s out. Dusty makes the most sense outside of that. I’m ready for the new era

When is Btown Banners getting together for the next board meeting?

“The Absent Minded Professor” would win National Championship in his first year.

It’s probably a base salary of $1.5 million - $2 million + bonuses, Celtics is currently a privately owned so who knows. However, in terms of high paying GM’s, RC Buford from the Spurs is making around $10 million per year, so it is possible Stevens could have an high salary.

I don't understand or buy the answer that it will not be until at least March to hear anything if it is Brad Stevens.  There would be no reason to wait if he was going to be the coach.  Why would he care about staying with Boston for a few more weeks if he was going to be the next coach at IU?  My guess is that the longer we hear nothing on that front, the less likely it will be him.  If it is going to be BS, it will happen in the next week or so.

Lots of smoke screens being put out as well as flat out false info. Front my position Brad being the next coach has never been closer as of this afternoon. Let Scott work!

More of this ****!  Let’s get the white whale!
