As long as he’s successful when here and trying to win championships I don’t think it would make him a bridge hire in my eyes. Larry Brown was at Kansas 5 years before going to the pros. Ranked every year, good seed every year, and a national title. Is that a bridge hire or just a really good hire? thebigweave, Withnail and JPCIVOP 3

Juwan Moye Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 As confident as I am that there won’t be some announcement on Fox Sports tomorrow, how much would we collectively freak out if today or tomorrow a press conference is announced for 3pm tomorrow? Id guess we’d have a lot of adults who inside feel like 6 year olds on Christmas Eve. Asha’man, 8bucks, JPCIVOP and 1 other 4

I know it would be risky but at this point, I don’t really care, but I could get excited for possibly a Bucky McMillan or an Alan Huss type hire. I don't want another experiment. It's been ten years since we've been close to "meets expectations"... we need a proven P5 winner. HoosierSadaseci 1
Popular Post EasyEJay Posted March 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 1, 2025 Absolutely embarrassing kind of stuff from a top tier NBA franchise. All this after blowing a big lead to Cleveland . clearly new ownership will need to have some tough conversations, probably a total restructure of the front office needed . Starting with the President/ GM I’m sure he will Land of his feet in the world of basketball ;) JustWinBaby, Juwan Moye, raorIU and 8 others 2 9

Given that no one coaches forever, I guess they are all ultimately "bridge" hires... but yeah, definitely need a bridge forward... and Brad would be that... so could guys like Drew and Otz. Pagoda 1

Sandman Posted March 1, 2025 Posted March 1, 2025 I don't get the "he would be amazing with IU's resources!" line of thinking. If the resources are so great, why haven't there been decent results over the last 25 years? Shouldn't the resources elevate even a crap coach? Or were the resources nonexistant until this year? cybergates, Juwan Moye and 8bucks 3

I understand that and I also understand the frustration of this fan base, but I just don’t think that they’re that many coaches out there that are a guarantee. And also, I’d rather not hire a really old coach so that we have to think about the hiring process again soon.

Just look at the last 4 years we have had a crap coach and he has a chance to make the dance 3 out of 4 years. There is no doubt Collins is a lot better coach than Woodson. With out the resources Woodson record would be a lot worse. 12345Brad and theriverpilot 2

I get it northwestern is hard to win at but the results we would expect from him would be such a big jump from what he currently has done in his career. Him and brownell are the two “candidates” i would struggle to get excited for. Thankfully i don’t think Scott would consider collins go iu bb, VFury and Sandman 3
