There have been a couple of new posters recently, who didn't seem like obvious trolls, who alluded to this but have disappeared after the rumor that Dolson is telling people to keep mum (also JY and RTZ).

Are you referring to the situation with his sister a lifetime ago? It was my understanding that he was upset with a few people at IU over that and those people are long gone. I can’t imagine he doesn’t like a whole school over that.

Yeah, I didn’t like his abrupt exit, perhaps he’s missed coaching and wants to get back into it in a situation where he won’t be outbid like he was at UVA

Very true, I've watched the board for a while. If it was just BTB and Issac I'd blow it off as nothing but trolling . However other with better and established reps have kept me intrigued for sure!

It’s Brad Stevens imo. I don’t think Dusty signs an extension if IU is hard after him. And if IU went hard after Dusty, Michigan would have offered a lot more money to keep him with a higher buyout. Only reason to not push for Dusty is they have their guy and the only guy to have this early on is Stevens. I understand the idea of keeping things quiet but that’s where I’m at with it. I’m totally aware I could be wrong but I’m intrigued to see how it plays out.

“IF” there is an agreement in place already it is most certainly not someone currently coaching. I think most rumblings have been towards Brad but I could see it being Bennett as well.

Agreed play that long con/game.  I'm sure the Purdon't boards right now are going crazy with 4 losses in a row.  The time to do it is now.  I have cousins who are Purdon't fans and they are always yelling for Painter's head.

Look how long RMK nursed his hurt feelings, long after Brand and Doninger and the others were gone... sometimes it takes a long while to get over injustices, real or perceived.

It’s likely not Bennett, just trying to think of who makes sense other than Stevens if the deal is in fact done. It could always be a wtf hire like a Woodson but hoping not

While I sit here waiting for a phone call, a couple of musings tegarding Dolson's search process:

- What if Scott has one confidant that he uses as a "firestarter"? He tells them something they both know to be a red herring, and that person let's it "slip" to some highly connected individuals. Thus the telephone game begins.  It's just a thought but seems like a viable strategy for keeping others off the scent.

- It'd be funny if he (Dolson) were to contact a potential candidate who's not interested but could be for another conference rival (Iowa?) in the near future.  Start a rumor we're negotiating with them which forces their current school to offer an extension and pay raise to lock them up.  That way it could take them off the table for that rival. LOL

- Screw automated customer service call systems.

I have heard that Scott was taken aback by the Dusty signing. So I think Dusty is just happy where he is. That’s all.
